Waht did you cast today?

The frosting easily wipes off with a light finger rub, and neither the rifle nor I are concerned. As I said, if I slow down the mould rebels and spits shiny bullets. By the way, the mould is a three-cavity.

Looks familiar!! I run something like that in my k31, and several of the other 30s like it a lot... enjoy!!!

I just started casting in tandem with four different two cavity Lee molds- and had to quit for the day.
I’ll hopefully pick it up tomorrow. I’m using the 225-55 Bator, C309-200R, C312-155, and the old 357-150 SWC.

Cast a bunch of 142C PB with the 'hard' alloy and WD them. Then cut that alloy with pure and WD those. Testing to see which works better.

For the first time in almost two years, I cast up about three hundred Arsenal 358-158 RF/RDO Clones. Took me a while to get the "timing" down, as I was casting with one mould and usually cast with two. "Timing" meaning mould temp between pours.

Got interrupted six times in two hours, but have more now than I had when I started, so win-win. I'll get back on it every chance I get until I have a thousand of them and won't have to cast that bullet again for a while.

The four-cavity NOE 360-160 WFN, I bought from Brad, arrived and it is no longer a virgin. Took a while to get the sprue cutter bolts adjusted to what the mould likes, though. Took another while to realize the mould like to run hot, just like its NOE 311-188 FN big brother, and I tossed all of the initial session's bullets back into the pot.

The NOE on the left and an old pre-cull Lee 358-158 RF on the right. I'm thinking that the more tapered nose will be easier to chamber in the .357 Mag. Rossi 92/EMF Hartford and the .38 Special Uberti 1866. The Lee bullet requires double-clutching the lever to get the nose aligned with the chamber's squared-off ends. The NOE meplat is larger, a bonus against charging targets.

Can someone please fix pictures??? Second ask here very confusing.

The Quoted message should never get pics posted in reply thread!!

Got my workbench cleaned off and did some casting for the 350 Legend. First I had pistol alloy in the pot, so I cast a small batch of Saeco 954. Then I drained the pot and casted 35 cal rifle molds in tandem for several 45 minute sessions throughout the day.
Lyman 356637 pb and gc, Saeco 354, RCBS 357-180-SIL, and Lyman 35875.
Then later two different copies of the Lyman 358315, Lyman 358318 and Saeco 352.
I tried to get about 125 from each mold so I could cull and still have enough for testing.

My buddies boss got him self a Family air-loom 38S&W and wants ta shoot it... But he cannot find bullets.

He asked me and I have a couple molds dropping fat enough, so I said OK and sent him a small package.

Well the guy loves them! Now has asked for 500!!! :embarrassed: Oops.. Not my desire...
I just wanted ta be a nice guy and help a feller out. I figured a caliber/gun like this would be a shoot once twice ta say ya did and put away... :headbang:

I gambled and lost I guess. No good deed right...

And after he shoots that 500 he'll ask for another 500, and on and on . . .

I know, CW, that you have graciously shipped probably many hundreds of free bullets, with postage paid no less, to many people. But to have someone shamelessly ask you to cast an additional 500 goes way beyond the pale.

That leaves an opening for armed ATF agents (forget international/one world regulators) to come knocking on his door at 0300. Like CW and other forum members, I've given away many hundreds of free cast bullets, but am not about to charge for them.

Transformed the last of the Lee 358-158 RFs into NOE 360-160 WFNs. Don't know how they'll shoot, compared to the Lee, but I like the NOE design better.
