What is your favorite mold for your 1903a3?

I have finally scored a nice 1903a3 and I want to get a new mold for it. I have a Saeco 315 clone but I would like to get another one too.
What do recommend?
Thanks

mine actually shoots the 311041 on top of 2400 very well.
which is odd since the 041 only does well in one other rifle and that's with an off the wall load combination.

anyway the loads for the 0-3 were leftovers from the 1917 which abhors the 041, the 0-3 took to them right off [shooting groups of about 1-1/2"s at 100 yds.] negating any need to do any load work up's.

It depends on whether your 03A3 is a two groove or four. I’ve had both and my two grooves really liked the 314299 I have. This mold has a .3015 nose and and is .3145 diameter as cast. Sized it .313 and it was a pretty reliable 2.5 moa rifle, pretty much what it would do with jacketed. The Lee 312185 for .303 Brit worked well too. In my 4 groove 03A3 the .314299 nose is too fat. It likes the 311284 and the Lee 312155/160 molds and loves my RCBS 30-150
mold if I set the sizer up to expand the nose just a bit and size it to .311. Almost too many options.
I’ve had mixed results with my NOE 311041 clone in Springfield 1903s. If you’ve got a 315 clone it’s pretty good or better in any .30 caliber. Mine is plain based and if I keep it under 1400 FPS
+ or - with Red Dot or Bullseye it works. I consider the #315 sized to .311 with Ben’s Red to be like the Sierra 168 gr Matchking; works from pretty good to outstanding in every rifle I tried it in.

The one I do very well with in our mil surp matches is the noe 190 grain, second best is the 314299, I know they both seem a little large but the throat on my 03a3 just loves a fat nose

I have four Ideal/Lyman 311284, each with a diffenect sized nose. I use the biggest one that will just slide in FROM THE CHAMBER.

For twenty bucks you can't beat a two cavity Lee 312-155-2R. I size to .311, grease that single groove with Ben's Red and then tumble 50 at a time with 10 drops of BLL. All of my Springfields and my buddy's Springfields love 'em. Almost silly how simple those are. Seat 'em with the crimp groove just sticking out, we get light engraving, push 'em 1,400 to 1,750 and whang away.

Thank you for the suggestions. I was digging around in my mold cabinet and found this SC 311299, they drop from the mold at .3135 and are concentric (Ideal molds are great!!!). I am going to try it first so I cast a few this morning in 90 degree heat and 100% humidity. That was sure fun too!

They are sized .311” with Carnuba blue and a coat of BLL. I used a check but if they shoot good at my low velocities I will invest in a plain base mold.

I got some of these loaded. My only obstacle now is keeping the sweat out of my eyes while trying to shoot them. Heat index here today to be 112! And the humidity is about a ga-zillion percent!
