Finally, got a break from the heat and humidity. Better half wanted to practice with her concealed carry S&W 38 Spl Airweight so who am I to say otherwise.o_O Berm is only 100 yards from the house.:) Might as well take the newly acquired Charter Arms Bulldog (21 oz.), along.

She did very well at 10 yards. In her defense, the ones that are outside of the 5-ring, were literately, shot from the hip. Had her shoot for retention practice, using the CT laser grips. Load was 3.5 grains of Bullseye and a 158 grain cast bullet

Had her try out the Bulldog.

She said I ain't getting it back. Was also surprised the recoil "wasn't that bad". Load was 4.5 grains of Bullseye and a 240 cast bullet.

Guess you'll just need to get another one. This one only took 6 months. o_O

Never let your wife shoot a firearm you don't want to take a chance of losing.

Looks like she shoots at well as she cooks.

I've only been allowed to carry the p938 for 6 hours in a couple years time. Better keep an eye on that bulldog or you'll be in the same boat.

Looks like she did well with both.

What caliber is your bulldog? Iirc that one is available in 9mm. I was thinking about getting one. How do you like it? Any issues?

My "Bulldog" is chambered in 44 Special....I wanted a big bore "belly gun". The model I chose, has the shrouded hammer.

Their "hammerless" models are actually bobbed hammers. Already have all the other defensive calibers, covered. Charter Arms offers a "Pitbull" in 9 mm, 40 S&W and 45 ACP. Biggest downfall, IMO is, they are only offered with spurred hammers.

Finish is rough. Especially, the cylinder lightening cuts. Fit is better. Almost no cylinder gap. All throats are uniform at just under .432 diameter. DA trigger is @ 9#'s and SA is 3 3/4 pounds. IIRC. Handles cast, just fine......no leading, so far. Happy with the purchase, overall. OTD for just under $400.

She's a pretty fair shot. Has taken a buck and a doe with BH 45 LC and has two 6 point archery kills.:)
Since we moved to Arkansas, she has all but given up hunting.:( She does still like to help track my game.

Very nice, thanks for sharing.

I prefer an exposed hammer myself but, can understand why some folks don't want it. With that caliber it should be a great stopper.

cover over most of the holes in the black and it'd look more closely resemble one of my handgun targets.

I dunno who put all those K's on the side of your frame but you should talk to them about that.

that'd be super official cause there ain't no way I wouldn't remember what all the K's stood for.

that'd for sure remove the family friendly atmosphere, cause I'm pretty sure the wife would start wondering what I was watching after a while.
