I haven't paid for a haircut since about 1995...
I let it grow and wore it down to my belt, most of the time in a braid, from 1995 to 2007. By then, my hair got so thin that I cut it all off, donated the braid to "Locks of Love", and I've been cutting it myself ever since.

Face-plant follow up with the family doc and he changed the high blood pressure medicine to one that is non-diuretic, thereby eliminating dehydration from the suspects. Left hip remains bothersome. However the brain fog pretty much burned off, which by itself contributed much to the better day.

Finally got round to casting the NOE 360-160 WFN and draining most of the Lee 20-pounder.

Duke and I are going to see if we can stroll round the block.

I have cut my own hair (with a Flo-bee) since 1997.
For whatever reason, there is always a few straggler tufts the day of cutting, but after a day or two and a couple wash n rinse cycles, it always calms down and looks good.
I'm pretty sure this was a Cut day, LOL.

i keep telling littlegirl to get her dog a flo-bee.
she doesn't know what they are.... LOL

well i know what i'm doing tomorrow.
happened to look over and see the legs on the dining table cranked out at an angle.
yeah they don't go like that.
for what i paid for the damn thing you'd think they would have used gold plated sterling silver bolts and lock nuts.

nope some sort of crappy IKEA type idea with a pot metal twist thing that goes inside the hole drilled in the legs.
then a nut and washer goes through a little cross brace and snugs things up.
well it did till the teeth sheared off, it's supposed to be able to withstand being pulled open and pushed closed for the center leaf to pop up and down.
we've used that feature twice...

off to the ACE in the morning.

Longhunter came over after the rain quit. We shot a couple of rounds of 50 yd. off hand chickens. Broke for home made chicken soup for lunch. Went back out after lunch. Jon shot a bank of chickens and I shot a bank of prairie dogs. I amazed myself frankly. With all of the strenuous arm and shoulder work the last two weeks and the fact that I don't think I've shot a bank of targets since early March, and how heavy my High Wall is, I shot well. The High Wall is/was a 1913 Special Sporting Rifle. Pistol grip stock, close coupled double set triggers, 3 wgt. octagon 30" bbl. Originally chambered in .22 short, relined back in the day with a brazed in liner also in .22 short and shot almost smooth a second time. How many rounds does it take to do that? I think it was an indoor rifle, perhaps a rental piece, except it has a spectacular piece of wood in the butt stock. Forearm was missing when I got it as a rusty relic. Wyoming Armory rebuilt it into a .22 l.r. and a fine rifle. I have a 6X Fecker on the High Wall.
Jon was shooting a heavy barreled CPA Stevens that is wonderfully accurate. I think Jon has a Super Target Spot on the CPA.
Fishin' today with my buddy Jimmy in his boat. We'll be launching at a landing we have never tried before but on the lower end of where the Wisconsin River turns into Lake Petenwell. Walleyes and whitebass are the expected targets, with maybe a smallie and catfish thrown in for good measure.

Mrs. smokeywolf has been cutting my hair for the last five years. Keep it short; real short during the summer to check for ticks.

Up to our eyeballs in ticks this year. Yick! Nasty little buggers.
As a kid growing up on a farm in SE KS, we hardly ever saw a Tick; of course we NEVER saw a Deer, not a single Deer my entire young life. We thank our State Wildlife Commission for that. (sarcasm)

Bought a Tractor (toy tractor, Farmall Cub) over the weekend and going through her some more today. Well I found out the gentleman I bought the Cub from had changed the oil a week before I picked it up; so I checked and Oil is clean. Called him yesterday and asked if he had changed the filter and he said he hadn't. So I'm going to change it all out today.

Powder coated about 150 bullets before heading to work tonight.

My Express Scrips order went through. So excited about that. My first time using them. Saving me quite a chunk. Elequis is not cheap.

Have a furnace down, it developed a hole in the refractory. So kinda slow tonight. With not testing samples.
Not a lot of stuff coming into to test either. So completely disassembling, cleaning and resetting all the lab equipment. Then probably moping the floor.
May just help maintenance work on fixing the refractory in the furnace tonight. For something different. Not my job but better then sitting here all night on my phone.

I was up late last night watching current, local fishing videos.
Found a local charter talking about using "carrot knots" in-place of swivels for main line to leader attachment.
His claim is far greater feeling on 80+ feet fishing.

Kinda of a funky knot to tie but not too difficult. I pulled three setups upstairs and tied fresh 25# Flouro leaders.

One nice part is that the knot is pretty smooth and reels thru guides easily. Allowing longer leaders for shy fish.

Well today showed more improvement in my body, I actually Coughed and Cleared my throat without screaming out in pain! Got in another 2 mile walk at my normal 3 mph step speed. Last half mile I started having some pain down my back and right hip but sucked it up and got it all in!
Went home and rested a bit then went to the Chiro Doc at 2:30 pm. He seemed hopeful with my recent improvements. However night sleeping has now been problematical....have to get out of bed about 3 am and take pain meds to sleep the rest of the night. My 4th appointment will be this Friday at 11 am ( the day before my 71st birthday) maybe he will give me a discount as a present :)
Not much chance for outside work today. It was in the 80's and very humid. Pretty much only had a chance to take care of all the seedlings & cut up the downed Tulip poplar Branches for plant braces, they are very long and straight and the right thickness.

Well glad to hear you are getting some relief.
Let me wish you a happy 71st birthday a little early, as I tend to forget those things.
