Cindy won't let me kill/spray them. Especially, this early in the year. She wants them left for the pollinators.

Currently, 59* with breezy, cloudy conditions. Guessers pushed the rain back from starting at 4 AM to after 11 AM. Still forecasting 1-2" with some locally heavy rain.

I'm with Cindy. We also leave the plant stems in lots of the wild flower beds for over Wintering habitat. The more you learn the more fascinating the insect world is.

Still too cold here for any insects to be out, except wasps on warmest days.

Todd, Here in NEPA you can say that but double everything! We had 2" of rain yesterday and Today was only in the 30's but very sunny all day! Alas One must always figure in the wind chill here! I have been here all my life and I'm still not used to it!

Winelover might only have an inch and a half but I'm 15 minutes from him and as of 2:45 this afternoon I have 2 7/10 inches, was raining hard. Still raining though not as hard as it was.

Currently 64° , thunder storms started about 3:30 this morning and rained until about 3:00 this afternoon. The yard pond suggests 4" .

We have been above average all winter and Now for March too. Last week was like winter here but going back this week to above average.
Gave my Grand Niece a bunch of Broccoli plants to put in today ( the ones that Tangi, orange tabby cat did not eat!)
Average highs are in the upper 50's They should do well for her and be Matured before I give her Pepper and tomato plants!
My Last brother was so thrilled that she started Gardening & growing plants before he passed , With my help.
I will try to honor that promise until I am gone!
