This is from the alloy calculator. Input 1 pound of linotype (assuming it's fresh and not depleted) and 4 pounds of pure (assuming the lead pipe is pure, and you're not getting tin from a joint). So unless you're getting your starting materials assayed, it's still just a guess!

The calculator is actually an Excel spreadsheet. If you do not have Excel on your computer, even if you downloaded it, it won't work.For some reason,no matter what I try I am not able to download it. What am I not doing to not do it...
Where did you get your info? Everything I've seen, read, or heard says its an international collaborative project with advisors and contributors from all over the world. I've used it and its predecessor for years.I'm always suspicious of freeware, especially when it comes from outside the USA. This stuff is from Asia. My guess would be China. I'd rather pay Bill Gates than have China looking over my shoulder.
