This is my 2017 Polaris Ranger 570 EFI
Fully enclosed cab. Fold down windshield. Brush guard, winch and optional plow mount. Metal blade plow. No heater or radio.
I have 57 wooded acres, with trail system, I put in. Also have a very wide circular cement drive and at least another 100 yards of gravel drive, from the highway, down to the house. Last week, we got over a foot of snow, with temperatures in the low single digits. Plow handled all the snow, without issue, didn't even need chains. Just put it in 4 wheel and go. I started of with a down jacket and gloves but had them off, after a short while. Must have been some engine heat, keeping the cab comfortable, in the freezing temps. I don't notice the heat during our hot summer months........I never remove the doors. Just fold down the windshield and bungie cord the doors wide open.
I didn't purchase the machine for pleasure. I use it for work. Besides the plow, I bought a 45 gallon sprayer for weed control. I also put in a small food plot, in the early Fall. I have a disc plow, made by Bad Dawg for working the plot. Which brings to mind, the 2" receiver hitch, required for the disc plow and my Hitch Hauler carrier. I use the carrier to take my self propelled mower to the far end of the property to mow the other gated entrance. Also come in handy hauling deer out of the woods............no need to lift the carcass up into the manual dump bed.
Every few years, I order a truck load of gravel, for the driveway maintenance. Load the bed, about half full (500# weight limit) to relocate/spread the gravel. Friend has a wood burning fireplace and I let him cut any dead hardwood trees on the property. We use the Polaris for hauling the rounds out of the woods.
As far as noise goes, I don't think it's any louder than the competition. Granted, I'm not the one to ask, since I need hearing aids.
I selected the Polaris, because we had a dealer in the area and because of the 2" receiver hitch. You'd be surprised at how rare that size is. Kawasaki mules, I looked at, didn't offer nothing but the smaller ones. Artic Cat was second on my list. That dealer, closed it's doors, not long after.
