I know that Smokey, didn't intend what I said to be a negative comment toward you or any other member. Mostly it was a comment on my own deficiencies as a father and how I have very little room to tell other people how to do things along those lines.

Not being able to see each other's faces or hear each other's tone of voice, it is sometimes good to clarify our intent and context.

Absolutely agree, text is a one dimensional media, useful but often lacking in the nuance one gets from tone of voice, gestures, etc. From what you've shared about your own sons it'a plain to see that you and your wife are doing a great job. My son turned out great but I will give most of the credit for that to my wife.
