I had ZERO experience with PB powder until recent years. About 5 years ago a GREAT STORE in Eureka, NV (Raine's Market) had two 1# flasks on sale for low pricing, so I snagged them and a couple 1#ers of IMR 4064 as well--the latter does good stuff in 22-250, and I knew enough about PB to trust it for 38s and 45 ACP. I am about halfway through the first pound of PB, and it works fine but offers no advantage over WW-231/HP-38 as far as I can see. With WW-244 now-ascendant, gotta wonder about WW-231's status. I know zero/zip/nada about 244.
Raine's is a store that could bankrupt people that like the things most of us here have a passion for. I'm not sure if I go to Eureka 1-3 times a year to hunt varmints or to shop at Raine's, but both events happen on every visit. Their guns/ammo/reloading components section rivals many gunshops, and their hardware section is VERY comprehensive and takes up about 1/3 of the store's floor space. Raine's moved out of downtown a few years ago to a very nice newly-built facility about 2 miles NNE of downtown along U.S. 50. If you happen to take a trip down "The Nation's Loneliest Highway" (U.S. 50) through Nevada, Raine's Market is definitely worth a stop. They are a grocery and convenience store, as well.
