Just giving you ideas to keep yourself busy and out of bars until you have grandkids to entertain you....
Here's a .270 load that hit just over 2750 fps with a 150-grain cast bullet and 22" barrel, and about 50 fps over max copper-jacketed velocity. Once the base starting load was established and worked up slightly over a chronograph, I backed the powder down and used the buffer, getting about a 105% total volume density with the powder settled in and buffer sifted in through a funnel, then I worked the proportions of powder/buffer around (keeping same overall density) until I hit a sweet spot.
