Plus one on the revolver shooting. I detest chasing down brass.
I wish I had a few more wheel guns. This one needs to be shot more. My K38 and M29 see a lot of range time.

My current favorite at the range is an Uberti Cattleman with the 1860 Army grip frame, and a .45 ACP cylinder robbed from another Uberti switch-cylinder revolver. .45 ACP in a single-action is a ton of fun and scary accurate, plus you don't have to feel guilty about the wear and tear on the expensive .45 Colt brass and don't have to fuss with moon clips, total win.

That sounds good Ian! I got a killer deal awhile back and bought 1200 rounds of loaded 45Colt in new nickel RP brass for $100

They are commercialy cast bullets loaded with around 5gr of some fast powder. I pulled about 10 to check....

even if it's clay's [or clay's speed] your still under 14-K.
I shot 4.8grs of clays with a lead bullet under 260grs when I shot the cowboy stuff.
sometimes it was 165 sometimes it was 200 or a 230rn or a 255, whatever I had on the shelf at the time.
I still keep a supply of the 165's with that load around for grouse/bunny sniping in the '92.
