The .30 Badger conversation got me to considering this Martini Cadet project rifle in .357 I bought about a year ago. No sights and gonna need anew stock and forende, but the trigger pull on it is pretty good. Haven't shot it, but all seems to work as it should.
I figure a receiver sight for a flat sided lever gun oughta work and I can figure out a nice brass bead front, my preference for iron sights. WOuld be anice, slim trim walk about gun.
I think John Taylor use to do such work, but could the current barrel be fitted with a liner and chambred to .30 Badger? I'm sure the action is strong enough and relining .22 barrels seems to be a bread and better task for gun smiths.
If I was smart, I'd just have MGM make aConteder barrel for my carbine I have, but that would be less fun, I think.
Thoughts?
