We used Allied Van Lines, when we moved from Detroit. We had a wonderful move. Drivers and their crew are sub-contractors, so it's the luck of the draw............we got a great conscientious driver. He was a second generation driver from Indianapolis. Just keep in mind, that money, jewelry and firearms should be transported by yourself. In our case, we had two full size Chevy vans to transport those items. Cindy drove one and I, the other. Plus, it took over a year to complete the house. We made numerous trips, back and forth, and always brought things we didn't want to entrust to the movers. House is ICF/ reinforced concrete with a safe room and walk in vault. So we had pretty secure storage, after the walk-in basement was poured.

Used Reliable to transfer the Chevelle Super Sport. I retired from the Design Building at the GM Technical Center............that's who GM uses for their show cars.

We used North American Van Lines and have zero complaints with them. In fact, when my industrial machinery mover refused to move my safe (heavier than my 9x48 Bridgeport mill, but lighter than my 17x40 engine lathe), the NA Van Lines driver stepped up and took care of it.

Jennifer at Southern California Auto Relocation took care of transporting our Suburban and Grand Caravan. They did a very good job. They have actually transported the Suburban from Kali to Arkansas for us twice.

Did the final walkthrough. We sign at the escrow office in Moore tomorrow morning. I'm totally excited to start this new chapter in my life!

Already got electric set for tomorrow and propane comes Friday. We are sleeping on the floor until we head home on Monday.

Rick, this way I have the time to go through stuff. I can work at the Northrop Grumman facility by Tinker or the one at Plant 42 in Palmdale where I am now. I know, I would like to just get it done but this will work out.

I'm planning my first big trip bringing stuff out trip in April in time to go to Wanenmachers! My wife will do smaller trips starting in January.

Mike, One of my moves was much like that. Working two locations on random schedules, living in two places, selling one and buying another. Occasionally hauling a load of my belongings from one place to another. That lasted 3 months and I was so happy when that was over and I was able to settle in ...into the Life of living about 2 miles from work. I learned my acid indigestion was caused by commuting...I no longer needed to buy family packs of Tums. I fully enjoyed to be able to bicycle to work if I wanted, and I could have lunch at home...it was awesome...and that lasted 10 years.
