Pictures are a bit of pain for me to post, I have to resize them,
I had that same problem, BB.

I now have an app on my iPhone called “Image Size” . Instead of opening the camera app to take a picture I open the Image Size app, select the size I want for my picture to be and take the picture, and add it to my photos library with a touch of a keystroke.

I have Apple devices but I expect such an app is available for other platforms. Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search “Image Size“.

Good luck,

Rocky

Mitty something to consider is if the red dot has auto on (shake awake) When i bought a micro red dot for my semi auto pistol I figured i could do without the auto on option. Not any more. I looked at the BCA red dots and dismissed them because of their off on switch. But that's just MY opinion.

Funny how things go in cycles sometimes...

Two buddies are also starting 450 projects. I liked the idea of the cartridge when I first read of it. I have been a 45 Colt fan for ever. Moved to 454 for heavies when I bought my first Colt. Just to remove all possibilities of a "Ruger" load making it into its cylinder. Today NO hot loaded 45 Colt. Well not really none but the one I do load is with a MP RUGER bullet that wont fit so is safe.
All "Ruger" lever and hotter are in 454 cases. So wont fit in my fragile 45's.
My hunting 454 was a single shot H&R I rechambered. It shot and handles great but was still a H&R single shot. I ran across a Ruger Ranch 450. I was friends with owner and he said funny seeing that here huh. I said yup, @ that time he was 99% police supply. You know the kinda place all tactical gear for LE and WANNA BEES. Anyhow, he bought out a small gun shop and this was in his inventory If I WANTED he would sell me cheap. I grabbed it and traded the 454 off to a buddy who wanted it.
Now I had a bolt, in a caliber I could load from 45 Colt to low 45/70! Plus in "small" 45 I had a plethora of cast bullets to choose from.
It proved a awesome shooter and even heavy loads dont belt ya that hard. My 400/2000 45/70 loads are hard kickers. A 300 & almost 2000 is about a 30/06.

Ill send ya some video links Emmit. A buddy of mine is western PA has a number of good videos highlighting applicable bullets and powders. All my videos where deleted with my channel.

Ok I have H110. Universal IMR 4064, and H335
Powder has. Become rare around here again.
Thinking H110...So noticed fellows seam to like it out of bolts. Some run it pretty hot with Soft point Jackets. Knowing H110 is finicky. Wandering of I should even try it to push a gas checked powder coated bullet in an AR 250??? There seams to be no one on the tube or Rumble who has tried it on anything but bolt.

The only thing I am seeing on the shelves right now, local is Little Gun, Universal, blue dot and H332, 335 type powders.
Little gun may be an option at 52 a lb. Thinking burn rate should be close to what I need They have 2 lbs.
Course, BCA just processed the order, so have a while to soak in knowledge and find what I need. Checked my brass, only had 17 brass for 250 BM.
So may just buy 2 boxes of Hornady black box 250 grain. It's like 40 bucks right now at the Grocery store.
It's what BCA Recommends. That will let me test the gun and have enough to go hunting this year. If I do not get enough stuff to load gathered up, and tested in time. Plus 57 brass will probably last me a life time for that guy. My plan with this upper is to get it set it for factory ammo this year. Hunt with it one time for hog, then this winter for deer.
Plus develope an acceptable Cast load, or two. It's only use will Hog and deer from the ground. So practice and maybe 5 days in the woods a year.

I'm with CW on powder choice. H332 IIRC is a stick powder and might light off well enough. H335 I would avoid, as H110.

I'm partial to the Bushnell TRS-25 for cheap, effective, reliable AR red dots, just keep a few spare batteries because you WILL forget to turn it off and battery life is only a week or so if left on. The Vortex dots are good. The Crossfire series of scopes are worth every penny of their price and not a bit more. If you can, save your lunch money and move up to the Diamondback series if you want a 4-12 without messing with an AO, just be aware that the whole Diamondback series is very short on eye relief. For about the same money you can get an entry-level Leupold and they, too, are worth every penny and not a bit more, I prefer them for a $200 basic variable scope because they have not bells or whistles and weigh practically nothing, like 13 oz for a 3-9x40. Weaver has some great one-piece mounts, a $50 "practical" one and a slick $90 one.

Thanks fellows. I can always depend on you.Even when I need to be let know it's time to pull in the reigns and wait a bit. You fellows have been there.
I pretty sure, for now, am just throwing a spare set of Irons on it. Buying 2 boxes of Hornady Black.
Saving money and taking in knowledge. So I can make informed decisions.on optics, powder bullet. Etc. After I make sure she runs good and is accurate.
A good fellow is sending me a cast bullets care package, so I need to wait and see what is in that. So I will probably be starting my work up journey from that box.
I am just so impatient. Like a little kid sometimes, when it comes to new toys.

just be aware 322 is a bit weird in wide open spaces.
it's great with a little airspace in stuff like the 223, but get it down to the 60% or so level in even a 30 cal case, and it'll give you enough vertical dispersion to make you question your bench technique.

Just informational here .

I had data from a trusted person from the popular data generator ...... Ranch Dog actually .....anyway 45 Colts with a 350 gr at 1.60 in a 16" M92 my goal was both low pressure and to keep it subsonic . Don't ask it's a horror story that leaves me slightly ill .
21.0 of H322 , the start load to hold me to 21,000 psi delivered 1280 fps . About 200 fps faster than my target velocity .

Much research has been involved in the various .451&.458 dia . My conclusions are simple .
185-255 gr run a BC of .185 it edges toward .215 as you move to 350 gr . No , it doesn't matter what shape the nose is . About 475 gr you'll get some steps in BC the 530 gr RCBS 45-500 and the Lyman 458132 at 535 are about .285&.286 . That 600 gr PC bullets NOE ran only goes .29? . The up side is that with the .285 45-500 a 150 yd zero is only about 8" high at 100 and 12" low at 200 with an 1100 fps MV which gives it the same flight path as the fancy copper monolithic 250-325s and it holds 1000 ftlb past 250 yd which the fancy bullets with their .185-.190 BC don't .

At one time long ago now I tried to get an NOE buy for a Rebated BT that would take a gas check of the same profile as a Barnes TAC X 325 which would have tipped in at about 410 gr solid with a .190 FP and about 395 with the same hollow point as the X . It needed to have only .455 nose from the crimp groove . I almost made it to the official drawing but couldn't get the last interest . So it just quietly died . I think it would have made .250 BC .

Enough rambling .

Rummaging thru my box of scope rings, risers, offsets, cantelevers. Trying to find a combination heavy enough for the 450 but puts the scope right where I want it.
Looking like, even though I have an ammo box full of stuff. I am still going to have to get a set of 1/2 inch risers, to get it right where I want it.
Oh the joy of setting up from scratch.

I just re did mint too!! I had my preferred Nikon rings on. Dont remember name/model. But Nikon gone now anyhow... I found a set that fit me perfectly& ran lower then Nikons. Allowing me that set of Nikons for another MSR that has a 50mm obj.

Well my inch pound torque wrench took a hike. Back a while ago. Just noticed it was gone because I had not used it in a year.Got it snugged till I can get one.

Found a regular 1 inch tube, 1inch high, double ring weaver. Also an offset one to match. Wen't down and bought a set of true glow 1/2 inch risers. Got it right where I want it. I am looking right thru the middle. No darked out lense area. Plus I can get to the charging handle ok.
So shopping for an new inch pound wrench tomorrow

Just did some comparison between the BSA 40 mm Scope and the Crossfire 44 mm.
The BSA has better Glass easier to aquire sight picture, and is Made in America. Just noticed the Vortex was made in China, What the heck!
Guess I paid twice the money over a good American made scope, to feed a China man and get a warranty.

The only place the Vortex was a bit better was in low light. But not enough to impress.
My next scope purchase will be a BSA.
