It's really close but the china thing sealed the deal
However to be fair BSA is heavier, and only has a 1 year warranty.
Guess I was up talked so much I just expected this super scope, that was way better all around, then anything under 100 bucks.
Decent scope with Warranty it is good bang for the buck. But Super is not the case

Like I said, worth every penny and not a bit more. The Vortex is a lot better made than BSA and a better choice IMO in the long run. The Diamondbacks have decent glass, not $1000 quality but decent and better than Crossfire.

Guess a lot of it is objective and perspective. Definitely got my money's worth. Will not say I did not.
Ian pretty much hit it on the button.

Just thought it would be so much more for 70 percent higher price. I have come to the reality that as, other things. Quality is not in direct proportion to the money spent.
Like with audio.
You get more for each dollar spent, but less increase in quality per dollar as price goes up.

Who knows in a year of two of use, might be singing a different tune.

Bet the weight difference, and warranty for ruggedness is probably a big seller for those who walk 5 miles, andclimb mountains with it.
It is not so much for me. For a walk in the Ohio woods, on ferns and pine needles, were this out of shape fellow can still safely go. Most of my hunting adventures are under a 1/2 mile of walking from the car , on slightly sloping ground. Or From a ground blind, siting in a chair, or on the ground, using a stick, with a cup of coffee by my side. Taking shot on gAme never over 200 yards

Vortex used to be made in the Philippines.
i think their good 600+ dollar scopes still are, but i bailed on them after spending over 2hrs. digging through a table of their lower end stuff.
by the time i'm at 4-6 bills for a scope i'm moving along to Leupold.
if i wanna kick in another 2-3 i jump right past leupold and start looking at the other brands like swarovski.

don't get me wrong i was a serious word of mouth seller of the Vortex stuff for their first couple of years, but as soon as they had built their fan base they went straight to the bottom line.

Its a tiny sharp crystal Clear dot. Easy even on 200y shots.

I have a 3x M8 Lupold on my Ruger Bolt 450. Nice light and with its heavy German post reticule its quick!!
