Lookin' good, Jwatts! Those "arn" Accurate moulds are just about the best mould available anywhere IMO, with RCBS coming in a close second but the cavities never being as true as Tom makes them.

Thanks!!! Absolutely, Tom makes the finest and most consistent molds I have personally seen. I agree about RCBS, they make an excellent mold too!!

Why water quench? I air cool everything. Even rifle bullets. Only bullets I oven heat treat are for my AR-10 carbine.
I’m Just water quenching after the powder coat, take the tray from the toaster oven and shake the bullets in a jug of water, for one it’s supposed to help the application of the PC but also, less waiting on them to cool

Loading some Accurate 240gr RNFP rounds for the Marlin 44 lever gun. Sized to .433”(thank you Brad) with 10gr of Unique.
10 Gr of Unique is the perfect 44 load, love those bullets and that funky powder coat, I need to expand my powder coat color collection

I have a Chroma Chrome in route to me from Carolina Coatings. A buddy on line bought some and the durn bullets look like actual plated chrome!!

I turn the mould around so I can cut the sprue with gloved thumb. Saves the fingers that used to get leverage on the hot mould.
LOL!

I found a hole in my glove today!

So did a 2C sprue!

Couldn't get that glove off fast enough and had to spit through the hole to cool my finger. My only regret was that no one was there to enjoy the show with me.

Go and get all full of yourself for knowing what you're doing and something like THAT happens. Y' never stop learning with cast.

I split the web seam of my right casting glove very quickly, you're right, it don't take sprues long to leak check them!

don't put tape on your glove.
What?! My right hand casting glove's index finger has gray duct tape covering a hole, but little drips still find the places that the tape no longer covers. I'd buy new gloves it it didn't increase the cost per bullet. Maybe I'll put more tape on it.
