Thanks!!! Absolutely, Tom makes the finest and most consistent molds I have personally seen. I agree about RCBS, they make an excellent mold too!!Lookin' good, Jwatts! Those "arn" Accurate moulds are just about the best mould available anywhere IMO, with RCBS coming in a close second but the cavities never being as true as Tom makes them.
I’m Just water quenching after the powder coat, take the tray from the toaster oven and shake the bullets in a jug of water, for one it’s supposed to help the application of the PC but also, less waiting on them to coolWhy water quench? I air cool everything. Even rifle bullets. Only bullets I oven heat treat are for my AR-10 carbine.
I’m not water quenching the raw lead bulletsWhy water quench? I air cool everything. Even rifle bullets. Only bullets I oven heat treat are for my AR-10 carbine.
Interesting, I’ll have to give it a go and see how I like itI turn the mould around so I can cut the sprue with gloved thumb. Saves the fingers that used to get leverage on the hot mould.
10 Gr of Unique is the perfect 44 load, love those bullets and that funky powder coat, I need to expand my powder coat color collectionLoading some Accurate 240gr RNFP rounds for the Marlin 44 lever gun. Sized to .433”(thank you Brad) with 10gr of Unique.
I usually pc with clear. I found a new clay bank to shoot into. I figure the bright colors will make it easier to reclaim the PB at a later date....10 Gr of Unique is the perfect 44 load, love those bullets and that funky powder coat, I need to expand my powder coat color collection
That’s one thing I HAVE noticed haha, the bright colors are definitely faster to spot when lead farming. I’ve just been enjoying this chromeI usually pc with clear. I found a new clay bank to shoot into. I figure the bright colors will make it easier to reclaim the PB at a later date....

What?! My right hand casting glove's index finger has gray duct tape covering a hole, but little drips still find the places that the tape no longer covers. I'd buy new gloves it it didn't increase the cost per bullet. Maybe I'll put more tape on it.don't put tape on your glove.
