Well thanks to @Ian advice and little PM he answered after. I was able to find my problem. 45 min later my boy is rollin in the big brown truck again.
The guy is a walking motors manual, when it comes to Ford's!
Who would have thought, good car advice from a casting forum.
Well got it temporarily fixed till I get the time to tear it apart.
It was the fuel tank selector switch. It was sticking.

So (In defence of him, not by Ian's advice) a little hillbilly engineering. Hammer tapping while actuating the selector. Then some duct tape, to keep the boy from switching to the rear tank for now.
Yep the redneck farm boy is showing. I can fix anything with duct tape, a hammer, vice grip plyers and bailing wire. Oh and occasional dollop of JB weld or spray of WD40 . LOL

Bought me some time. I can fix it later, with a proper replacement. When I have time, good weather and the cash.
Or just drive forever on the front tank with duct tape on the switch.... Meh...

Well just got the jeep title in the mail so got to run down and transfer the Escape plates.

A not-bad drive to Fox Lake. A day to rest tomorrow and then we start sharpening. Head back home on 13 April.

Still never got the Jeep shifter cable in.

Coming out from getting the registration transfered to the Jeep. Smelt something like sulfur and melted plastic.
No start, no nothing. Dash lights did not even give a hint of working.
Battery was blistering hot. But battery cables were cool. Battery was Seeping acid. The darn thing just decided it was done. At least it did not explode.
Phone was dead. I had left it on the car charger but dead car battery means phone did not charge.
Well walked to the nearest parts store, with my old battery, acid leaking from it. Lucky it had a handle and I had some gloves in the car. About a mile to an O'Reilly's. Traded in for a new one in a mile walk back finally got it in. Good luck, no damage to the Jeep at least that I know of.
Well Stopped at the Mexican restaurant I had left my wife at, drinking coffee, cleaned up and bought her dinner. Figured I just spent $200 what's 35 more? Plus my sugar was low from the walk.
So finally made it home. I am done. No more in me.
Dang car gremlins just won't leave me alone lately.

Going thru my meds trying to figure out what is covered and in what tier. Plus trying to find a closer drug store.
It's 25 miles to the closest one that our insurance prefers. So far. Guess I am going to have to get myself a lap top dedicated to this stuff. Just so I can manage it. Not working out well on the phone. Sure going to miss dealing with the pharmacist I have known and been a loyal customer to for 15 years.
Went there one last time to get a med tonight and say goodbye. Cost me $25 more then if I would have driven to Walmart. Of course I wl cost me $10 now at current gas prices to go get my meds. Checking in to mail order for most.

Mitty38,

We also live a ways from cities. Mail order has been a big help for our meds. Heck, up here we drive 25 miles to get a good meal or a glass of beer!

Ye but small town life has its advantages. One of them is it's 25 miles or more, away from the big towns. And those who live in them.

They have a preferred 90 day supply mail order service that sells a lot of my meds. Just a lot to figure out. Like maybe a separate account for the auto withdrawal they require. Keeping the right amount in there. Maneuvering the sights. Defiantly think a laptop dedicated to just that stuff is in order. Their websites are a nightmare to me on touch screen phone. Plus the ability to call them on the phone for guidance while walking thru the sight on the computer would be great.
Think a real key board Microsoft set up, with windows, like at work would take a lot of stress out of dealing with that.
The ability to really type and having a note pad, or personal record, open. In another window would go a long way.

In time I will figure it out.

Lucky for me I have about 3 months emergency supply in most of our meds.
So have time to figure things out. Work and the insurance pack I just got today basically just keep referring me to web sights.

The Dulera gave me big wake up call. $460. More then a short weeks net pay, now that I am paying for insurance from my check. Then they called the new insurance I waited a day for it to kick in. Then $55. After I called them. Then found out if I had got it at a preferred subscriber. It would have ben $28. By mail $68 for three months.

Dealing with just this one thing on the phone was a two day nightmare. So ye definitely going to have to get over the fear of handling my affairs on line . Establish a home base computer.

A laptop with an accessory full size keyboard is a great way to go.
Either that ....or a refurbished Dell 5070 office desk top. With windows 10. And Excell office.
Just like I have at work. Dedicated corner and desk. Just for bills, meds and stuff.
But a laptop would take up less space in the house.

I think the idea of replicating the office system makes great sense, and.....I'll bet you waste less of your precious time than I do with a lap top.

About 2 or 3 weeks ago, our Library updated their computer department. They sold all the old computers for $100 each. They didn't say what processor or ram they had, but they did say they were equiped with Win 10 pro...tough to be that deal for home office.
