Just got the stuff in from melting lead. Ended up with 379 pounds of ingots, better than expected. Still have an estimated 800 pounds living in little bullets waiting to be melted down. Must have 12-1500 pounds of ingots right now.

He hit a beer can at 996 yds? On purpose? Was there only one beer can out there or a hundred?
Amazing.

Good grief. I can't help but be blown away by that. Is that a 1 shot hit it and 20 missed it?
If you fired 5 shots, how good a group would you get, assuming things go fairly normally.
No unusually lucky stuff or unusually unlucky (wind gust have to be a huge deal).

I am willing to bet Walter doesn't shoot full cans of beer. He is frugal that way.

Anyone else notice he paints the cans?

that's so the cop can't,, uhh so they can see it.

got almost all of the fence cemented down the north side of the yard early then run out of cement a couple of bags short.
said the hell with it and went shooting for a while.
I picked up 2 jugs of same lot Promo for 140$ each OTD, and 3 bags of #8 shot for 66$ total, figured I done okay on them and got out of there as fast as one could carrying all that.
stopped at the home store and found a couple of bushes on clearance that were just about perfect for the spots I wanted to fill and headed home.

Lol. Empty cans full of water. I paint them for copyright purposes on YouTube.
This was a response to a challenge made by another YouTube guy. Once your sighted in, you get 10 shots to try and hit a 12oz can at your personal best. The first can he hit with shot number 2
The second can he hit twice. Shots 1 and 3.

You can get a motorized digger and dump the clamshell. Electric fence sign is cheaper than a battery box. Actually elec. fence is the best way to go. Elec operator or just lock? Used to work with man traps, big magnets and a coil to cancel the field. Batt will last longer.

What's the point of having a tack driving 223 CB varmint rig?

Answer;to go hunting with, haha. Went for a nice long walk to the river with the #16. Was a little too concerned about health going into a no service cell area and forgot a cpl things...... bug spray and sun block.

Also, thinking about one of those nice, over the shoulder,"hung".... fanny pack systems that I think are mkted towards Turkey hunters?Badlands makes them I think?

I use an old school fanny pack type thing [I had 2 but can't find one of them]
I have had it since the 90's at least and seem to use it off and on for both bird and deer hunting as just a day pack type affair.
some doo-dads, ammo, and water/goodies.

Cleaned, neck sized, and primed 50 pieces of .338 Lapua brass.
P.S.
Anyone who has NOT checked out Starline rifle brass, do yourself a favor. Very nice stuff at a good price.

Starline is what I buy for handgun and rifle when they make it. Best out there in my opinion and the price is good too.

Finally got a chance to do some loading today.

I loaded up 40 rounds of 308 to continue my HV work. This time I’m taking a couple of the best shooting powder charges and changing the OAL up to see if that makes any difference.

Also took my wife and daughter down to the range to shoot some steel with the 10/22 and AR. They both love shooting the AR.

I've got an old Trebark camo fanny pack from the 1980's ( Trebark originated in Roanoke Va,45 minutes from here).....

Never cared for the whole waist belt thing. But I may have a dbl shoulder harness that'll hook up to it..... Will look tomorrow.

Edit.... found the shoulder straps, then couldn't find the fanny pack.Looked in all the backpack stuff,no joy.Did find my old Filson waxed cotton turkey vest though.Looked everywhere, gave up.Then went to the reloading room and the fanny pack was hanging on a safe's handle....

Took 5 minutes, got shoulder strap on and adjusted. This is gonna work.A cpl game calls, little bottle of deet,a lighter, ammo, and a cpl water bottles.Need to look for a better ammo container?Got the sm MTM 223 x50 count box..... may go back to factory 20 round boxes?

Raining today, may get out for another walk/hunt.

Hey Waco, look up a stock co. GRS from Norway.Once on their site,do the vid on their factory tour...... keep watching, near the end there's a little snipit on stock balance.Actually it's a brilliant insight that most will dismiss.I like them boys, their parents started the co. as a furniture gig..... a cpl sons took over the reins and along with a bunch of good ole Norway boys(hunters/sportsman) have been making a go of it in stock world.

Saw the video. Nice shooting.
Do you have a separate camera closer to the target for that footage?

Are the downrange cameras protected by a steel plate or you trust yourself? And your brother....

The video and editing is very well done.

And what is the story with the drone? Almost lost it?

Brad. The two cameras are 20-30 yards in front of the target. The sit off to the side. We were trusting ourselves and the buddies we were shooting with.
Like an idiot I was not paying attention to the battery life and half way into my flight the battery died. The drone crash landed. No harm done and by a stoke of good luck it landed on an old skid road. I was able to drive to within 40 yards of it.
Aaron gets all the editing credit. That stuff is all Greek to me.
