The wife and I got our second Covid Vaccine today. The Moderna vaccine.
We were expecting a long line and were suprised at how quickly it went.
The Dr. has me on baby aspirin, so we had to wait 30 minutes before we could leave.
Probably feel bad tomorrow, but 1 days worth of a slight fever is worth it to have some immunity to it.
As much as I hate it, we're getting to that age where we aren't bullet proof anymore.
I still think I'm 40, but my body reminds me regularly that I'm not.

If and when, we opt for the vaccine. It would be the Johnson & Johnson. Only one shot required and protects against variants, unlike the other two approved ones. Now, they're saying the approved ones need a third shot for the variants. :headbang:

J & J might be approved, as early, as today. very good emoji-small.jpg

I’ve worked in two welding fabrication shops that stored their welding electrodes in a dead refrigerator with an incandescent light bulb wired up to be turned on all the time. Basically a ghetto rod oven.

Yup, J&J for me. Woke up 5:30 AM thinking she was cleaning the blinds. Nah, back to sleep. Got the dog a summer cut yesterday, she's cold now. Think I'll go to Fl, kinda chilly today and 2" rain last nite - expecting more this week. Damp & chilly for this ol body.

By the time I will be eligible for the shot (about September). They should have all the bugs worked out. At least that is what I am hoping for.

Went to look at a Suburban before work today, Wife had a hard time climbing up in it. She is a very petite woman, and has mobility issues. So that is out of the Question. I really liked it. and had the cash for it too. :(
Have to keep reminding myself, I have a truck. We are getting this vehicle for her convenience , comfort.

I'm not in any hurry for these shots. I'll let a few million 2-legged lab rats test-drive them for a while first.
You sound like my nephew.
He thinks the gubermunt is injecting tracking nanobots with the vaccine.
I told him he already has a tracking device attached to him.
It's in his hand 24 hours a day and disguised as a phone.
It's hard to know what to believe, when everyone has an agenda.
You make a choice and take your chances.
We chose to get the vaccine.
I hope we were right.
Hell, someone has to step up to the plate.

the wife's mom was like 5'2" we had to put running boards on the suburban so she could climb up in it.
Think my wife is like 4"11". I literally have a pair of steps I lay out to get her in the 250, and at that with her arthritice and one leg shorter then the other, I have to stand behind her and help. It can be kind of a pain in the butt in a crowded parking lot.

Home from the trading expedition. Got a few items on my shopping list, traded off my 1911 (now get to market my stash of factory ammo). The other pistols came home with me. Might team up with a friend on a table at a gun show late March, we'll see how things are going then.

Congratulations to all of Fiver's family, specially the new mother.

My wife is 4' 11". The truck and motorhome came equipped with factory running boards, but she does well enough with the Escape that we decided not to buy some after-market ones.

Got the tool box re-mounted on the truck, and it now has less stuff in it than when I took it off.

Shot the Chileno this morning with Lyman's 287641 and 13-grains of Unique. Any of you with young eyes are welcome to determine if the rifle and load combination are MOA capable. I'll buy lunch.

Got the trusses, purlins, and half of the roof metal up and on for the maple syrup cooking shed today and I am just beat, dog, tired. It is only a coincidence that when the syrup arch is removed after the syruping season that the roof lines up with the 80, 160 and 210 yard rails.

Spousal unit is gone to a stained glass class for the weekend. When she gets back we should start tapping trees. I hope to have the roof finished, the arch and pan in place by the time she gets home Sunday.

I promised my friend the builder an ice fishing trip out in the Hover Craft tomorrow. Now is when that machine really shines. Warm weather has melted the snow pack down, the river is starting to open up where there is current but we can just skim out to the back waters for some of the best fishing of the Winter.

weird as it sounds she still has all 8 chickens she started off with, and still gets 7 eggs a day, sometimes 8.
hard to determine which one is slacking off... LOL.
I'm guessing we done a good job on the coop build and immediate upgrade or they wouldn't be laying all winter like this.

Forgot to add, during the trading expedition today, I remembered why I got the .410 Enfield musket. I picked it up about 12 years ago with the hope of using it to fireform Krag brass to straight cases. Should give that a try one of these days. . . .

Congrats to the new addition to the family, Fiver!

Naw, I'm too lazy and inattentive to pay attention to the nano-tech and kill shot claims of the conspiracy enthusiast entourage. Living in this carjacker's theme park is already dangerous and interesting enough--I ain't skeered of some shot. The ramped-up formulation and testing regimen causes me a bit of concern, I already have enough after-market add-ons attached without sprouting fins out of my back or webs on my remaining OEM back foot. Beside that, I already KNOW--right to the ground--how I end the current engagement on earth. At age 96, I get shot to death by the jealous boyfriend of a 19-year-old cross-fit trainer.
