SMAC,
What the heck is that green stuff your dog is laying on? I seem to recall something similar around here, but it's been like 7 months!
It's really thawing here the last couple days. My north field where I run my dogs is partly shaded from the angle of the hill into the field (North exposure), and the snow really stacked up there this winter. The dogs (and me) have some tough walking to get where the sun can hit and melt the snow, but temps have been above freezing and rain the last couple days. The snow there is concrete in the morning and like a snow cone in the afternoon. The whole field drains to my pond and it filled up from runoff the last couple days. Cash usually puts the run on the birds in the Willows around the pond, but figured out today runoff water is a tad cold! He got soaked and was shaking off all the way back to the house. He's quite a character to watch, with everything being new to a young dog like him.
Got the material to make the top for the wifes picnic table top today, and she painted the base today (and her hands). Got the walls done around the shower insert and fitting base tomorrow. Should be able to get the top made and put on tomorrow. Of course the top will be a different color, so she'll be painting it too. She still wants to keep the old table but I told her it was going in the wood stove tomorrow, where it should have been to start with!
Got the last of the 360-160-WFN Hp's sized tonight. Should get the Star cranking this week, depending on the "Honey Do List". Won't be long the Peepers will be out serenading at night.
Haven't heard of anyone dropping a snomo or wheeler through the ice yet, but should be pretty soon. Still a few folks crazy enough to try catching Crappie on receding ice. Happens every year.
