I have done two transfers with my my LGS. I have also purchased one firearm from that shop. They would not have gotten my business if they had been rude to me when I did the first two transfers.
You don’t need to kiss my butt, but as a business owner you shouldn’t point out how you are offended that I just paid you for a service. If you aren’t charging enough for the service then you aren’t a victim, you are a bad businessman. If I pay for a service then I am your customer!
I paid $35 for those transfers. I spoke with the owner one day, I mentioned that his fee was less than other shops in the region, but not the lowest. He said that his fee was enough to keep the lights on and the coffee pot full, that it kept the foot traffic coming in, and that that allowed them to built relationships with new customers.
We all make choices in life. No one forced this gentleman to open a gun shop. If he is resentful at customers, acts like a victim because you use his service, and is rude, then why support him.
And, let us not get started on the condescending gun shop owners/employees that exist out there. If you can’t have a polite conversation. I won’t be coming back. These “experts” are in every hobby based industry, motorcycle shops, bicycle shops, fly fishing shops, and antique shops. Condescending rude “Pros” don’t get my money.
