In my dotage, I can't remember more than a couple of days. Does make life interesting, as with little short term memory, life is new. Now stuff 50 years ago I remember quite well.

One of my cats goes crazy, like she's looking for a lost kitten, when she hears a certain version of "Taps"
One of my favorite radio talkers does a segment "Medal of Honor Monday" where he reads about the actions of a Medal Recipient. Then at the end, if the recipient has passed, he plays Taps. So every Monday, Sassy goes crazy.

I have one like that on my left forearm too. A week or so further along in healing. Daughter decided I needed a pet in the house. Got a feral kitten for me. One year old, but still has those wild moments. Always watch the eyes.
I remember those days with fondness. Thorsepower rating was kept under 440 hp for insurance purposes.
