yeah there is a big o'l finger of moisture shooting clear up to the big lakes, it's blocking off the storm systems from our direction screwing up everyone's weather.

we over achieved some this morning.
the thermo showed about 10-12 degrees at 6:30.
the Sun is doing it's best, we have shot up to almost 30 in the last hour, and we have bright clear skies this morning.
I kept it about 45 in the green house all night by flipping the little heater on in there at about 6pm.

Supposed to be dry and 94* today, 98* tomorrow. Looks like that Spring inshore coastal scud and clouds is over--it usually surrenders to the sunshine sometime about mid-June, and the blast furnace turns on through September. T-storms show up through the summer intermittently in the afternoons to keep the dull times to a minimum, which can be good for flash flooding and local downpours. Time to countdown the days until the dove season opener (82 shopping days left) and the arrival of yellowtail and other pelagics to local waters (less predictable).

They are really going all in on warning about severe weather this evening and overnight. Overnight we could get sustained gusts of 55mph. Expectation is for some good thunderstorms too.

Why am I getting Rick’s weather?

Hot and very hazy today. Was too busy at work to pay attention to specifics but on a road test I noticed a yellow-orange haze limiting visibility to about 5-6 miles. We're supposed to cool off to highs in the upper 90s starting tomorrow, not sure what's up with that, either.

Yesterday's high was 53 and rainy, warmed up to 61 today with a cool stiff breeze. Supposed to be 73 tomorrow.

Holy crap, the floodgates of hell have opened. Haven’t had a sustained rain like this in quite some time. And it happened while I was driving home.

Your reward for putting up with monumental, perpetual stupidity.
The last two weeks has shown there are much worse places.
Thinking real hard about a road trip to Prescott, Arizona. Idaho has an awful lot of allure, but Winter is a big question mark.

Williams, about 35 miles West of Flagstaff, is a neat little town, and Flagstaff is a neat bigger town. For us, though, they have three strikes against them. Williams is the gateway to the Grand Canyon and its economy revolves round tourists, Flagstaff revolves round Northern Arizona University, and 7000 feet is too high of an elevation. That we live in an area dependent on a tourist economy, and a state university campus political leanings, we don't want to move only to be in the same craziness.

Today's weather is to be a repeat of yesterday's.
