the wife walked past the Bronco twice during a sideways downpour.
both windows were down.
I had asked her and drunken monkeys 2 and 3 to make sure the windows were up since you know they had to walk directly past the bronco and since the keys were in the ignition it wouldn't really be that difficult of an operation.
so me and Jax got to have a nice soggy bottom ride home this evening, at least some of the inside is semi clean now.

We had cats in our household, growing up. Never had a litterbox............don't even think they were invented back then. We just let them out whenever they decided to wake up. They slept most of the day and caroused all night. Pretty useless, IMO.

My sister still has cats...............multiple ones at that. Probably, why we don't see eye to eye.

Cindy and I have been together since 1977, got married in '84. Have to find some pics someday.

Back's a bit better today. SWMBO and the girls are off on a 3 hour trip to look at another puppy. She was really broken up about the last one that died, but she's getting right back in the saddle. Of course the fact she's at work now and someone else gets to take care of the dog while he's got 87 zillion other things to do never crosses her mind. Sigh...

Gordy opened his very first bank account yesterday! He's looking for a truck, preferably with a utility body suitable for a welder and 4wd of course. I can see the confusion in his eyes as he looks at them and is torn between the "OH COOL!!! It's got a crane!" and his natural "cheapskateness" when he thinks about how much fuel he'll be paying for! He's learning about the trade offs that come with adulting 101!!!

Congratulations to all of the survivors of wedlock !

29 yr of marriage , 35 yr of monogamy ..........just that it happened with 2 wives and a regular steady that's got 9 yr 3 months in looking at my ugly mug every morning . No sense messing up a good relationship with a contract . :) Yeah , don't ask me for relationship advise I'm a lousy example on my good days .

I'm told ill fate comes in 3s last week nearly a month after their deaths in a car accident a close friend of the kids paid last respects to her husband and daughter . This morning X1 called to tell me that a close family friend , her father in-law (a sorted story in its own right) , had passed away last night .

Funny that , in a sad twisted way , the Native Americans say the owl is a harbinger of death . 100% for the last 10 years if an owl has sought me out and made itself known to me it has come to pass in even numbers . Of course they say rabbits are evil spirits to rising up out of the ground so what do I know .

On this mournful eve I hoist a drink of celebration to Kieth and Mrs Kieth , and leave one set for the 343 .

We would've left the next day for a month long camping and fishing get-away.
If I'd've been 18, I'd've been talking to the Marine recruiter his next business day.

I remember, too, the flag waving, freedom fires, victory signs, the commonality, the coming together . . . All gone. The sunshine patriot remains a selfish and pathetic individual.

Congratulations to all the anniversary folks. Gail and I got together in 1992, bought a house and moved in together in 1994, got married on Sept 24, 1996 so, coming up on 25 GREAT years. Second time around for both of us. Sometimes you get things right! We had "stuff" times two so we did not want a whole bunch of "to-do" so we; called my hunting partner and his wife for witnesses and called my friend the Pastor of the church that I managed a food bank/help center from before I got the job where I met Gail and they all came out to the house and we got hitched! The next day we went on a week long honeymoon and then spent an additional week in Fort St. John BC while I participated in hearings. When we got home, we phoned the 5 kids (hers and mine combined) and said "guess what we did---"

The core patriotism is still there, it is a constant through our history. It gets de-emphasized or publicized by legacy media depending upon their whims and feelings, but rest assured it is there.

Mrs. smokeywolf and I got married twice. Once officially and the second time for the benefit of her mother who had to come from Japan. My friend, a licensed contractor and ordained minister officiated both times. I was married twice before; third time was a charm for me.
She is, in every way the finest person I've ever known.

I was enroute to NYC by now, standing in front of the Bull on Wall St, knee deep in dust, debris and human remains by 11AM the next day. I can still taste the dust and smell the bodies cooking and then decomposing. I'd say more but we're not supposed to be judgemental and overtly nationalistic anymore...or so I'm told.
