I stopped at the new Can-Am dealer we have in town a couple of days ago. They have an ATV 850 model sitting there and a 570 coming in soon. Both have features that I really like that my tracker doesn't have. The 850 is kinda out of the question, being an ATV and not a UTV it's not a big machine, not for the 84 horsepower.
That is a bunch for that machine, thing would probably do wheelies in forward or reverse. At my age I have little interest in seeing how fast it will go or in killing myself. Fortunately I have out grown the need of such nonsense.
The main reason for the interest in the Can-Am is that standard on them is the option of 1 wheel drive, 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive shift on the fly. Tracker does not offer that on any of their ATV's. The Tracker is either 2 wheel drive full time or 4 wheel drive. In fact the Can-Am when in 2 wheel drive if it senses any slippage it automatically shifts into 4 wheel.
Don't know if I'll get the 570, it's not a matter of need. The Tracker is a fine machine and does everything I've asked of it but then damn, a guy does need his toys.
