Well “My Favorite Rifle”, that’s a very tough question like Kevin says:
Wow! Nothing like asking who the favorite child is to start a discussion!
I’ll add to that, you’re favorite dog.
Boy, bolt, lever, pump, single shot, wow answering that will require some serious thought.
Some of my favorite rifles are down the road when I sold my Winchester takedowns and High Walls. Beautiful and often quite unique.
Ok Bolt Guns:
458x2 American with a Leupold vx 1x6
Winchester 1917 338-06 I was gifted from my BIL 59 years ago. I rebarreled from the original 30-06.
R. F. Sedgley my cast bullet 30-06
Lever guns are hard, but:
Top a 94 flat band 32 WS, middle a 94 SRC in 30-30 from the 20’s, bottom a short tang 71 that’s either a clean up gun made from parts in house at Winchester or more likely a 71 carbine with a added full mag and a flat band. I think this 348 is my favorite lever, handles fantastic.
But, then there’s Savage. Having been a Winchester lever takedown and single shot collector it pains me to say that Savage had some unique stuff.
303 deluxe, perch belly, 1/2 round 1/2 octagon, awesome sights. A beautiful rifle.
Pumps:
Top is a Colt Lighting 44-40 with British proof marks, next a 141 35 rem, then the middle rifle a Remington model 12 octagon 22LR, probably my favorite rifle. Bottom two are Remington Model 25’s
