I just ordered a New Mold Fella’s :) NOE 301-175 2 Cavity Aluminum Paper Patch Mold. It shows .270 as the Gas Check Shank? Which Gas Checks do i need Exactly? Heading on Another NEW Adventure here :)

You really shouldn't have bought an aluminum mold Lewis. Hard to cast with and nothing but trouble...;)

LOL! With NOE I didn’t have a Choice, and NOBODY else offers this Particular Bullet, Same EXACT thing as the 30 XCB Bullet. Steel is ALWAYS my Choice if it’s available

No checks , the shank is to wrap a no fold/twist tail a 7mm check might go .

Is it the 7.35 Carcano and an Argie that's nominal .300 ? A check suitable for those might be the ticket if there were specific moulds and checks ....... UNK on my part .

RB beat me to it, no checks. You'd use a .277 caliber check if you were going to but there's absolutely no point. The Accurate 30-160 and 30-190 are my PP designs from way back. No spire point due to his machinery limitations but they shoot great.

Here's the directions:

I could have got this Bullet with a Regular Flat Base, Should i have gone that Route? I could have got a 2 Cavity Mold with each Design

I've done paper-patched bullets for .270 Win, .30-06, .308 Win, .30-30 Win, 45 Colt rifle and .45/90 WCF, all with smokeless powder. Different alloy, different wrapping, and different lubing than gunpowder loads. Did it a bunch of wrong ways beforr Pdawg Shooter and Paul Matthews (RIP) got me lined out on how to do it correctly. It's all in the article I linked.

I kind of like a gas check shank or even a bevel base on mine but have had great results either way. (Edit) I could have sworn I mentioned that in the article but apparently I did not. SORRY.

Seek out "green bar" aka chain printer paper . If there isn't any available to you I have probably enough on hand to last me 4-500,000 rounds and a full sealed box after I use that up . If you'd like to pm again with information I can send you some .

Ian I have the same mould . I've shot a few 308291s from a mould that drops .305 in 308&30-30 the 301618 adds 06' to that list . Also in a 7×6.8 , 7×57 with a 27-130 and in 6.5 with a 258-120 fp NOE . A few others no wild successes but always getting all I can out of them . In the 7×6.8 with the 27-130 tipping in at 141 gr I got 2300 fps and 1 moa . 120 jacketed only did 2450 and 1 moa . The 6.5 a 264 WM shot extremely well but I really didn't go past cast plinker load levels .
I got some real smokers out of a x39 , a 200 @ 1600 at mag length and 1800 single fed .

Nice!
Paper patching is a fascinating technique, that I have yet to try.... I’m following your results with great interest. Did you cast them from your #2 alloy?
Best of luck!

Looks about right. If that's copier paper go easy on it, the fillers and anti-bleed aditives will polish your bore.

Here are a couple that did really well for me. Left is a bullet from a custom mould wrapped in 100% cotton vellum paper (had to dissolve a little baking soda in the water to get it to soften and stretch) and lubed with Felix lube ina base-first sizer. a

The one in the right is an Accurate 30-160P wrapped with some sketch pad paper to be shot without any lubricant as a bore polishing bullet. 50-75 of those will slick a new barrel right up, and make it quite hot if you don't extend the shit intervals considerably.
