Yesterday went exploring the area a bit more, George boat ramp and landing just before Salesville.
Next we there’s another pretty developed landing and Marina with covered docks, but for some reason I didn’t get pictures and can’t remember the name. I’ll edit that today.
Later Rick came over and joined Joe, Karyn, Biscuit and myself for a BBQ of pork chops, potatoes and salad. Biscuit has had a good couple of days with a leftovers from Colton’s and some treats from the BBQ. Afterwards we had a little fire as the blasted wind was not blasting for a while.
Rick and I talking some casting and BS, just enjoy the evening. Joe had retired at this point.
Joe brought a couple rifles that our Father had in his collection and gave them to me as I will be taking them back to Alaska when we go.
One is a little Remington model 12 - 22 LR, round barrel, and in very nice condition. And the other is a bit of a mystery. It’s a 22 single shot with a different action. Cute little thing, not a bit of stampings or identifiable markings that are visible. Will need to pull the stock and see if there are something underneath. I will start a thread here and post pictures in hopes of someone here on the forum can identify it. It’s probably pushing one hundred years old.
