Exquisite mold work. I have a couple projects in mind for Erik. Curious about his turn around times.
With them 45lc loads I bet the ruger rings would be great. At 454 velocity probably not for very long. Documented issues with them at the top end, don't think I'd try that.....again.

Somehow I don't expect Ben to cross the threshold into the brutality of the 454 top end loads. With Ruger only 45C loads there's nothing in Alabama that won't topple over. Having said that you don't need to really go that stout. Although my Bisley just today was shooting well with some 308 grain (my alloy) bullets from an accurate mold on top of H110.

You're right, Some nice accurate .45 Colt loads at about 950 fps - 1,000 fps with some of my 240 gr. - 310 gr. bullets ( I have about 7 different moulds in that weight and cal. range ) will take care of a white tail at 30 - 50 yards.
I've shot a few " full tilt 454 Casull " loads............NO FUN ! !
