dicked around the yard some this morning.
chopped out about half of the raspberry canes, planted some stuff over in the Siberian side of the garden.
[they say they are good to negative 40, so were the others I planted there,, guess we'll see]
went over to a couple of stores lookin at stuff, didn't get anything I needed or really wanted and still spent 40 bucks on some stuff I can use.
did have a nice chat with my insurance agent lady while I was parked on the sidewalk for about an hour though.

Thanx Allen.... LOL

I think you have to have a masochist streak in ya to be a physical therapist.
That being said, a good one is worth their weight in gold.

February 2020 I broke my ankle bad...slipped on ice.
Had a "floppy" foot. (Trimalleolar fracture)
3 pieces of steel, 12 screws and 13 weeks later I finally became weight bearing again.
Did what my physical therapist told me to do, much as I hated every minute of it.
Glad I did; I was walking around with no limp at all within four months.
Considering I am 60 years old, that is a small miracle.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
We had a great day------finally summer like weather !!

Took Mrs. G. to some yard sales & I got the best deal I ever got----a like new Penn 550 spinning real brought it home cleaned it up but new grease in it, like new shape !!!

Also mowed the yard, trimed & blowed off the drive & deck .

Still messin around with the 59 jeep cj5 that I rebuilt this last winter ,it's been runnin hot so I took the waterpump & radiator off all looked ok??flushed radiator left the thermostat out & it did not run hot !! << if I am not using the heater I don't think I need a thermostat ?? gota look in to that?

happy summer everyone !!
Jeff
IME Jeep 4 bangers that run hot will benefit greatly from a hard core block flush using whatever nasty chemical you can find. Plain old CLR works pretty darn good as a milder option that USUALLY is radiator safe. If it's an old rad, sometimes they just have so much crap in them that recoring or replacement is the best option.

Couple days ago we seen a doe with her newborn, at the edge of the tree line. Yesterday afternoon, the newborn was seen by itself, near the over grown food plot. Sat on the veranda and watch it from 1:45 PM till 6:25 PM before it moved to where we couldn't see it any longer. Mama never showed up during all that time.

Stayed pretty close to that oak tree, getting up every hour or so.

Saw Dr yesterday, got X-rays of right hip, haven’t heard anything back yet. Feeling much better, achy sore but sharp pain mostly gone. Tired of polishing chair with my ass, I’m going in to shop shortly. Not going to work but Scott will be trying out new drill fixture and I want to see how things go. Will take pictures for our internal use but will also share in another thread.

For an obnoxious report, I think the 22tcm ranks right up there with the 30 carbine.
I tried published loads with 110 and they were just as loud as factory loads. I tried hs6 and the noise was a bit better, but pressures got way too high so I abandoned that attempt.
Back in the 90s (before I loaded my own), I had a AMT automag III in 30 carbine.
Using factory ammo (I think it was PMC?), it would get everyone's attention at the gun range LOL, it'd also throw out a basketball sized fireball.

Done with this nutritionist endocrinologist the doctor sent me to. Ben working with me for 6 months and I have went from 6.8 A1C to 7.4 A1C. 360 lb to 400 lb. At least my sugars and weight were staying stable the way my doctor was managing me.
Now he wants to put me on this shake plan that my insurance will not pay for at 450$ a month. My food and drink budget is that for the entire family.
He is fired.

For my type of cast bullet shooting, 2400 and Unique have been almost impossible to beat.

This morning it was 2400 that finally finalized the 1891 Argentine's accuracy load quest, with 16.0-grains and Lee's 312-185.

Also, 16.2-grains of 2400 ended accuracy load testing for the 03A3 and the lapped 311284U.

Now that that bit of testing has given very positive results, I'll load a small stash of each.

Bought another Vortex Venom. This time with the 3 MOA dot. Waiting to get a base to mount it on the CZ 75B.

I hope these red dots don’t become contagious.

The base I am getting g uses the dovetail and a couple set screws to hold it very solid.
I made a base for my wife’s 686 and can assure you that it doesn’t shift at all.

These sights literally weigh a couple ounces so the inertia to cause movement just isn’t there.

sub in the 314299 and you got my Argie load.
I intended to start there and work towards 18 or 19grs, but it wasn't necessary to go any further to make holes in the backer board, and they certainly didn't seem like they were gonna get any closer together either.

With my straight wheel weight alloy the bullets weigh closer to 190-grains than 185.

If my caliper fiddling and subtraction figuring are fairly accurate, North/South measures .507" and East/West .320". The target was set at 50-yards. Even if the fiddling and figuring aren't too accurate enough, I'm quite pleased.

Just weighed 50 bullets -- 194 to 195-grains checked and lubed. Heavier than I thought.

Most my several 30-06s over the years ran a little wide in throating/grooves/lands, and that Lee #C312-185 shot LIGHTS OUT in all of them. My current 30-06 (a post-war Husqvarna Model 98 commersh) has target-rifle internals specs--.3085" throat, and .308" x .300" 4-groove Mauser-form rifling of 1-10" pitch. This rifle's favored Lee bullet is the C-309-200, atop 60.0 grains of WC-860 and lit by Fed #215 LRM caps. This load reliably goes 1.5 MOA to 200 yards at close to 2100 FPS. Yes, it lets you know the primers functioned. I still have 20 of these loaded with the Lee bullet cast as a Bruce B Soft Point in the ammo locker.

Same rifle does good work less vigorously with Lymans #311291 and #311041 atop 16.0 grains of 2400 and LR primers. They group 1.2-1.7 MOA @ 100 yards, not quite 1600 FPS.

Yep, Lee's group buy 311-41 (copy of Lyman's 311041), 16.0-grains of 2400 and the 03A3 is a winner.
Had to move the 03A3s' rear sight up two notches, from its 311-41's setting, to compensate for this morning's heavier 311284 outing.
