been a fan of the Gold Dot since day one.

well Allen:
an influencer is someone with a camera capable of uploading video's to U-tube.
they get on that camera and blab on and on about whatever the subject is for 20 minutes or so most every day and people tune in and watch them.
they don't even have to be all that knowledgeable about whatever it is they are blabbing about, they just gotta keep on yakking the whole time, and be good at editing.

there are of course some people making instructional video's that know what they are doing, but they ain't influencers, and they probably don't make 20 bucks from their channel in 5 years.

however an 'influencer' is one that gains lot's of followers and views on their video's so they do receive a check from the U-tube which is then selling commercial time during their video's.

it kinda works like T.V. except you can't get cancelled if your ratings drop 3 points, and you don't need to get your show picked up, you just start uploading it yourself.

Finished getting the 500# of dirt spread, now she's got to decide what to put in it. Kid got asked to leave the soccer game, badmouthed the ref, who deserved it. Silly ref tried to call the cops on him. Couple of the players got doc to look at them, one for concussion. I say if the refs don't get better, let the kids put on helmet and pads with an oblong ball and go after it.

Well got off work at 7 am officially on vacation for 10 days.
Fixed the worst of the wire rigging on the 250. Took a 2 hour nap. Went to mother's day service at that church.
Took wife and kid out to eat. Was going to stay up and finish the truck wiring repairs, but 2 hrs sleep in 24 has caught up with me. That and the giant cheese burger with Fair fries, I got at the class of 57 50's style restaurant.
Good night John Boy.

fixed some fence up around the bed-box this morning then went and stared at the dirt pile for about ten minutes, said well that ain't so much I will take a bunch of it over to the G-boy tomorrow and then see what is left.

threw the shotgun and a flat of shells in the Mustang and headed down to Pocatello..
only ended up shooting a hundred shells because I hit 100 targets and didn't want to push my luck any further.
come home to find out Littlegirls freezer in her basement burned out, which oddly had a dozen quite large perfectly sized 6oz. pieces of deer back strap [oddly about the exact same size as one of the back straps on the last deer I shot] and a pound of bacon in it, and she had to cook them.

broke my heart to have to go over and eat one of them, I even managed to choke down 1.5 dinner rolls and a piece of scratch made chocolate cake to console myself over the loss.

guess I'm maybe driving back down to Pokey tomorrow, unless we can a new freezer the right size at the place here in town.

Do you shoot trap mostly Lamar?

Good luck with the freezer hunt.
Our freezer went out about middle of September last year.
Imagine my surprise when I found out the soonest I could get one was about Thanksgiving!
Fricking Covid...
Thankfully, the neighbor across the street had an upright in the garage not being used.
She let Annie and I use it till we got our new freezer.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
My COVID shot 2 was far less in side effects than shot 1. Same for my wife.

Like many things in medicine, we all react different
I thought we weren't supposed to be discussing The Plague and the various experiments used to combat it?

I finally got the lawn mowed! Some of it was 10" high and I was in standing water, but it's hacked down. Found 2 new born kids in the barn which resulted in the annual, "Where did we put the ___________?" we go through every year. This year it was the iodine. Bar-beed up a mess of chicken for Moms Day, everyone was full and happy.

Back to fencing today I think. I did spot an old Troy-bilt for sale up the road a piece I might check on. I have a rear mount tilled on a Simplicity garden tractor, but it's not much of a tiller.

Feel like crap. Effects from COVID shot number two.....
Feeling any better ?
My wife goes in for her first today.

@Matt_G Seems in the current climate of things, The neighborhood sales, and porch chat sessions, have become a source of aquiring stuff needed for me. Nothin wrong with slightly used.or loaning and borrowing from a neighbor.
Just like the old days when I was growing up, the trading loop is back.

It was my birthday yesterday, yes once every 7 years, my birthday falls on Mothers Day.
...and it finally paid off !
Most of my birthdays are uneventful...just another day of the week. As an adult, I never have a party or what-have-you and that is fine.
BUT this year was different. My Nephew, who is a big time fisherman, just got back from SD with a bucket full of Walleyes and Crappies. He and his wife threw a big Mother's Day fish fry for all the mothers in the family that live nearby, my Mom happened to get invited...and I got to tag along. Deep fried Fish lunch was GREAT. When my Nephew heard that it was also my birthday, he asked if I cook fish. I said Heck yeah! He offered me all the leftover fresh (uncooked) fish, enough for today's breakfast/lunch/dinner. BEST birthday present I have received in the last decade!

Mom and I, at my Nephew's house.

"I hate meeces (sp) to pieces!"
Son discovered a mouse in one of the basement pantries last night. Undoubtedly snuck in when I had a garage door open while installing new batteries in my truck.
Mouse in glue trap this morning.

On a sadder note. Mother-in-law has Alzheimers. She's 82, which is a bunch better than "early on-set Alzheimers". She was diagnosed nearly 2 years ago, but it's now getting serious. Mrs. smokeywolf can't go see her or offer much help because her mom is in Japan. With her heart condition and SARS CoV-2 still on the loose, she can't fly back to Japan to be with her mom.
No one could ask for a better MiL. She's been nothing but supportive of her Japanese daughter marrying an American man with a near 20 year age difference.

College Boy will be home for nearly 2 months this summer. That will make life more cheerful.

Bummer RJ. Does the MIL have family in Japan? If not any way she could get here?

Yep, meeces is correct according a google check. A mouse in glue trap is a good thing not to mention good for amusement.

What's he got left, 1 or two tears of school to go? Your gonna need a new name for him once he graduates. :) Won't be college boy any more/

$850 poorer this afternoon. Put in for deer and antelope tags in Wyoming this fall. Son, Son-in-law and I are planning the trip. Grandson will be too busy with high school football. Told the wife that odds are we get the money back on the antelope buck and doe tags, pretty slim pickings with only 3 points.
