Woke up to 2" of Slush ! Never got warm enough today for it to really melt! Maybe a chance tomorrow.
I refuse to clean sidewalks and roof rake....I guess tomorrow will tell me who wins!

We got about 6" of that slush/heavy snow crap day before yesterday. I spent Saturday moving it. I am rapidly approaching the point where "If the good Lord puts it there, the good Lord can take it away". At least for this year.

Forecast for 60° today, same as yesterday. I won’t be complaining.

We aren’t out of the woods yet but if we get snow now it won’t be around long.

I had a coworker, in Michigan, who believed in that...............along with a May snow shovel!

Sunny to partially cloudy with a 5~10 mph breeze from the SW. Presently 53° up to a high of 72°. Love this time of year.

Almost identical weather, here in northern Arkansas. Except for a high of 68 degrees, with little more SSE wind. Tomorrow's high is 78 degrees.

I'm getting ready to walk to the backyard berm and hang targets.

we're suppose to get some rainy, slushy, snowiness this afternoon.
it's sunny right now, and am headed to the range with the Henry BBS 41M.
I got a bunch of old ammo to blast off (to recover the cases), they are loaded with WC's and were seated a bit long(to touch the throat in revolvers), and have grown in diameter and now only chamber reliably in the Henry.

My 5" thick ice glacier around my garage is finally starting to dissipate with the slightly warmer weather (mid 30s) in the last few days. Strangely enough, it's melting from the bottom. I think the deep snow pack we've had all winter (still have about a foot) has insulated the ground, so the ground frost isn't the usual 3 or 4 feet deep. I'm not saying for sure that the frost has gone out, but that glacier water is going somewhere. I'm thinking the yard will be quite soupy this Spring.
.
After last night's couple inches of fresh snow, it is currently cloudy 27º and suppose to get to 32º today...more snow tomorrow, like 4" or 5"

Drizzled all morning, and started earnestly raining about 30 minutes ago. This storm is apparently warmer than the past few arctic expresses, so runoff is filling watercourses up and down the state alarmingly. We are OK at out place--on high ground, as are the supplies venues we use for fuel and food. This is how great floods of the past have swamped my part of the state--1862, 1933, and 1969.

someone make it stop... please, for the love of god,, no more.
it rained, hailed, damn near a tornado, 60 mph sustained winds for a bit, then a whiteout and snow drifts 2' high in a matter of minutes.

city buttholes come by today with a giant snowblower and tried to level out the giant ruts in the ice.
they tried to throw it on our lawns [maybe there's one still down there?] but it couldn't clear the hills of snow already there, but it filled up the driveways pretty good [about an hour after the plow come by],, pretty much all of the neighbors come out and threw it back really pissing off the driver since he had to sit down at the bottom of the turn around stuck sideways in a huge snow drift and watch it happen.
i got a good laugh out of it until i tried going over to pay the city bill and had to dodge half the ice chunks.

and no i didn't go pull him out, he can K.M.A.

Low in the upper 20's last night. High today close to 40°. Snowed from 1:45 pm yesterday until9 am this morning. 5 to 6" wet and squeaky but not real heavy. My biggest problem is my gravel driveway is completely thawed and I cannot plow going forward or I'll tear up al the gravel. Out township road is seal coated with about 2" of oil on pea gravel and it is busting up and I have to be very gentle with the plow. I try but a 4 wheel drive tractor and a 8'Western snow plow is not exactly a finesse instrument.

We are hovering right at freezing as I wake. Cloudy and light North winds. We are supposed to hit 40 again. Our white stuff from yesterday melted off the roads and walks.....and I didn't even have to touch it with a shovel.

Winds out of SSE 10-18 . Overcast 46° .

Extra hours 6-12 this morning to cover the day off next week to get Ms hand worked on some more .

I know understand the lyrics of Home on the range at a deeper level and why the skies are not cloudy all day was worthy of mentioning. I do have an application for the soaking morning windshield dew after a dozen or so "gooey yellow" moth impacts . They just swish right off vs the biweekly bring the SOS pads and Windex out I gotta wash the windshield Saturdays .

The path I shoveled to the bird feeding area yesterday is just barely crunchy and we are right at 32°. Overcast, again, yet, whatever. A couple more inches of depression forecast for this evening.

With apologies to Don Henley, "All he wants to do is fish."
