English Tank crews from what I saw were well equipped with basic items to make life in the field better than what we were hauling about.
Thier "Tea Times" were punctual and well prepared. "3 RTR, Brew up, Brew up".

I am wondering if that is a two story cabin. Those are well cut corner joints.
The man has on very clean, good looking clothes.
One of the things that is striking about most of these old photos is how slim and fit people look and how well dressed even in simple work clothes compared with people now. It seems folks just didn't go walking around looking like something the cat dragged in back in the day.

Not old photos, but... on Hulu. Apollo: The Forgotten Films. Just amazing! And super special to me. I now live in Huntsville AL/Wife is a native. My FIL worked on the moon buggy and Apollo/etc. NASA retired TWICE - a story there/Kinda story line for Space Cowboys! And just lost a very good friend who worked the Engine program and neutral bouyancy tank, etc. This is some INCREDIBLE History!
