Not old photos, but an old object. Walked my son's dog on the county road that borders our property. Walked across it many times, but noticed the weight limit sign today so I looked. Unfortunately, no date on it, but I suspect it's quite old. One side is starting to collapse, I hope they don't decide to replace it with some modern abomination. This thing is almost in my back yard, I need to be more attentive.

The road is still in use and a lot of agricultural equipment crosses over in. FWIW, the berm that road is on is the backstop of my 100 yard home rifle range. I can hear vehicles coming and go cease fire until they pass.

I thought it said 13 tons, 26,000 pounds. That would be a single axle box truck with hydraulic breaks. If the arch is in good shape I would think it'll be fine. If any of the stones are loose not so much.

Speaking of a gal with a 1911. Many years ago at a public shooting range a few of us were enjoying a Saturday morning. A woman in her 60-70's had set up to shoot on the line. After some time passed we noticed she was having trouble. She came over, said she and her husband used to shoot a lot, but she just did not have the strength to rack the slide. My buddy locked the slide open and she returned to her shooting position. Man, that lady could SHOOT.
