Thunderstorms in the western Mojave desert and SOCAL this morning.
Somewhat refreshing as it has been many months since we have had rain.
Yep, been here in the Lancaster/Palmdale/Mojave area since I got out of the Army in 1985.I always got a laugh out of SoCal's weather guesser's talking about a drought. Of course there is a drought, that's why it's a desert. Drought is the normal not the exception. People there always spend July & August complaining about the heat and climate change. I always asked them, climate change? Is that what you call it? Always got the same answer, "of course what do you call it?" I would simply reply, summer in the desert.
Was like this the summer of our house build.Mrs. smokeywolf and I were commenting this morning that we must be in a drought, as we haven't had rain in nearly 2 weeks. We very much like the frequent rain we get here. Lake is topped off and our well won't go dry.
Lucky you. We're heading for the low to mid 90's today. Guessers have 99* for Saturday. Little cooler the start on next week. Then back in the 90's.Warm weather broke yesterday morning just in time for the shoot. We should be comfortable. Lows in the upper 50's highs in upper 70's low 80's. Clear skies.
