I handed the Christmas jester looking pen to a truck driver today with no trailer . It jingled when he signed the sign in sheet .
I told him my season was complete now , I've heard the bells on bobtails ring .

Of 5 one laughed while signing, 1 had a delayed response , 2 had it hum a few bars , 1 and still don't think gets it .

I honestly believe squirrels are adrenaline junkies and do that traffic dodge and other things like it on purpose. Usually when I see one road killed, it's in some place where there was no reason for them to be, nothing to make them want to cross a road (trees, food sources, etc.)

Had a young bassett hound for a while, he used to chase squirrels in the back yard and bark his head off. There is simply no way those squirrels weren't deliberately tormenting that poor dog. They'd gtet just out of reach of him and sit there while he barked at them.

And birds too. I drove a truck long ago and damn birds on the hwy would swoop down in front of my truck screaming down the road at 65 miles an hour. I guess if you can already fly, you have to do something for excitement.
