I think he might have been referring to 20/28Lamar, I want to make sure I'm understanding you correctly.
You're saying that a guy can use Green Dot data for handgun loads with International Clays?

I dunno about buying factory ammo. Most of the rounds that I play with are insane as factory loads.Don't really need any, but good to know it's available.
That is awfully pricey. Throw in the inflated cost of primers and you really may as well be buying factory ammo.
that's where it's at in England right now, it has even the hard core guys over there re-thinking their options.powder can be $100/lb and I'd still handload for it
I've gone to "Shooter's World" brand powders when I can pick them up. Ive had dang good luck with them. Kind of a waste I suppose. I'm still shooting winchester 231and 296 from metal cans in my handgunsthat's where it's at in England right now, it has even the hard core guys over there re-thinking their options.
I have to get the SW powders online. I use it in the 6.5 Manbun and just got 8lbs to run through the legend. Closest brick and mortar place for me to get any kind of powder without getting Scalped is a 2 hour drive.I really like SW powders. But the only powders available are the rifle stuff. The commercial loader I was getting my powder from was chased out of the Chicago area. He ended up moving to Indiana somewhere last I knew. I was getting Tactical Rifle and auto pistol for $11/lb from him. He scooped it into a 8lb jugs. And he filled it to the rim with powder. Way over 8lbs.
The only place that has it now is Scheels about 90 miles from me.
Thanks.international clay's will take green dot data.
green-dot data is hard enough to find for handguns, so you can always default to red-dot or American select data and be super safe knowing you have a little wiggle room.
not a big deal either way since we generally ain't looking for 1200 fps. with these types of powders and are pretty conservative with our loads.
20-28 is a pretty good imitator of a fast lot of unique.
which means you can use green-dot data if you wish.
there's nothing wrong with defaulting to a step faster powder speeds data, it's like referring to a heavier bullet for cast bullet data.
Thanks but that's not the same a a chart telling you what powders are "the same" but sold under different names.Try this one:
I was going to attach it, but even though it's only 2.8 MB, the site says it's too big. What is this? The 1990s?
If you search for "relative powder burn rate chart", there are several on the internet to find.
I've noticed that some powders move around on these a bit depending on which chart you're looking at, so you kind of have to look on several to get an idea.
Okay, what in the world is a "6.5 Manbun"?????!!!!!!!I have to get the SW powders online. I use it in the 6.5 Manbun and just got 8lbs to run through the legend. Closest brick and mortar place for me to get any kind of powder without getting Scalped is a 2 hour drive.
I drive a great deal with work, so its not as bad as it seems. My company truck usually strays into the parking lot when I pass through
lol! If I had to venture a guess, the 6.5 CreedmoorOkay, what in the world is a "6.5 Manbun"?????!!!!!!!
Not exactly, but this one and others can give some strong points of corroboration when trying to confirm things that have been mentioned elsewhere. E.g. Silhouette = Winchester WAP. Those two are on the same row on almost every one of these. Combined with many mentions on the internet that they are the same, it's pretty good corroboration if not confirmation. Thanks but that's not the same a a chart telling you what powders are "the same" but sold under different names.
Exactly!yep 6.5 manbun.
darling of the modern hipsters.
if it hasn't killed it yet it will, and if it's smaller than a blue whale it just gets the vapors and withers where it stands from the mere mention of the cartridge.
it's also been known to take out leftover NASA equipment on the moon with no holdover.
it's only fault is it's inability to shoot groups over .25 MOA straight from the box with any known factory ammo.
I socked in primers DEEP during Clinto era. I gave 98% of my powder and primer stash to my son. I believe I paid too much for them at $11/ brickYep, was just on their site and didn't see anything about free HazMat. Primers are aren't cheap either, averaging $95/thousand, if even in stock. Unique comes in 4 and 8# jugs. When in stock, it's about $37/pound. Last primers I purchased, during this current shortage, were from Norma Shooting. They came to $45/thousand for SPP with always free shipping on orders of $149 or more, and free HazMat...............that tells me HazMat is optional and a just way for greedy sellers to make even more profit.
I checked my stash last night and really dont need anymore either. They limit to 4 sleeves in that store. I was in town today, so I picked up 4 more. I dont reckon anything is goingbto ever get any cheaper. Some places are $14/100 now. Stupid@Elpatoloco ive been seeing them pop up in the academy’s here in MS and they are the same price. I picked up a few the other night to replace my loaded ones. Way I figure it, it is bad bad bad expensive, but things go sideways in a few months and everything goes bye bye again. At least I’ll have a few extra. Think I bought 500 sp ame 200 sr. It’s still cheaper thank buying factory ammo. I have 500 38 special loaded, that’s about 350 dollars factory, at the 32-35 a box at academy, I have about 120 in them at todays prices loaded. Fixin to buy a mold and go to casting them for the GF and her 38 snub. Then I will only have about .10 per round in them, I can live with that.
