I think my Grandma is in the center row.
Some of them have the cutest smile, others...not so much.
I think that's a relative of Rosie Perez in the bottom row.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
While I'm a long way from being a "tree hugger", at least stop clearing the South American rain forests that produce a very significant percentage of our atmosphere's O2.
Heck of a lot more to it than that. Those people down there want to eat, the rest of the world seems to forget that part. And they aren't "Rain Forests", it's "jungle", and they aren't being cleared at anywhere near the rate the people making money off the issue would lead you to believe. Whatever, believe what you want.

There was a period after the "Gibson Girl" types kind of went out of style and the Betty Grable/Veronica Lake/Ann Sheridan style came along that women seemed to do their best to make themselves look awful. I find the whole "Flapper" era to be part of that. I'm sure it's a matter of perspective and if I'd been a young buck back then I'd have seen things differently, but still... ick!

It would the Roaring 20s also included the "Pansey era" .
Think "take a walk on the wild side" opening lines .
I suspect that a significant number of those unattractive flat chested women weren't of the time weren't fortunately Mae West , Barbra Stanwick , and their ilk were able to save society and pave the way Liz , Marilyn, and June Alison. Yeah that bridged a lot of years together.......

My comment wasn't about their 'allure' but the age spread, some HS looking and some 3 kids past the wind look.

Honoring WWI Mascot Dog Stubby, 1916 - 1926
1f43e.png

Sergeant Stubby was an American dog who served as the mascot of America’s 102nd Infantry Regiment during the First World War.
Stubby was stowed away on a ship to France by a young soldier called Robert Conroy and went on to participate in four offensives and 17 battles.
Lest we forget

Great picture of what bulldogs really looked like in 1917. Now they have breed them to look like the cartoon characters.

From almost 100 years ago: "Dog in costume of dress and lady's hat pushing cart with three kittens." Middle Kitten is quite the trouper, having appeared in several other pictures in this series by Harry W. Frees.
