Slight chance of rain here with highs in the upper 80's.
After yesterday's heat, that is going to feel real nice.
It hit 102 here yesterday.

Sixty nine degrees, this AM, out on the lake. Partly cloudy with a slight breeze out of the SE. Currently 86 degrees. Just finished cleaning fish. Twenty nine inch Striper and a 18" walleye. Lost something nice size, halfway to the boat. 6-24-21.JPG

WE ARE MELTING!!!

Only 39% of homes in Oregon and Washington have AC. Ours is one of those without AC.

We broke 100°F today. They are forecasting 109°F on Monday; if we hit that temperature it will break the local record high by 8 degrees.

since it's been so dry, On friday I thought I'd start scrapping and painting my garage. I figured I could finish the two sides I wanted to paint on Saturday...but we got rain most of the day. I shoulda started painting a couple weeks ago, if I knew it'd bring rain, LOL :p

Try washing the truck, it'll rain. Want rain right now? Pressure wash the mud off the ATV.

Hmmm . . . washed the motorhome, in preparation for a nearby get-away, but it hasn't rained. In fact, I can't remember the last time there was measurable rain. February, maybe? Only 7.55" since July 1, 2020.

Well, we are into the 2nd heat wave of June! The beigining of June saw us with 4 straight days in the 90's and not today started the next 4 days!
Humidity is killing me!

Feel for you; 108* at 5:00 and 7% humidity. I have a 60 y/o English walnut tree in my back yard, 75 feet tall and 75 around. So as long as I stay under it, it is ok for 1/2 hour or so. Remember, it is dry heat.

Rain, rain, all around but none in the gauge. Big downpour in Houston, another around Centerville, then nothing. Went for daughter's 50th. Gals got toe nails done, I rested.

Ric, come on down to Nebraska when we hit 100° and you will see the difference humidity makes. There are days where I shower and never truly dry off.

Oh, I think Ric remembers what triple digit temperature and humidity and feel like. I know I do.

When I shoot the CBA Nationals in Sioux City, IA, in June I know what it feels like. (Plus I grew up in OH,KY and WV.)

I stepped off the airplane is Cam Ron Bay, RVN, at 2200 hours at 92*, 100% humidity, and the smell of burning s**t and diesel fuel. Did my in-country training with the 101st in 3 Corps; it was 10 days just to get you used to the heat and humidity. Even thought I did my basic and AIT at Fort Polk, LA, in the summer, it was an eye opener!
