Summer in Texas with a few threats by the weather people of spotty showers. I spent a day in Seattle @ 110F, no fun. Gonna be a long hot summer for lots of folks.

Yesterday was partly cloudy, high crept up to 90 while we were out on the bike in the late afternoon when the sun was out. Got rained on a little three times, never got very wet. Got a wasp in my shirt that nailed me twice before I could unbutton and let the wind blow it back out.

Was planning on pan fishing today when my wife gets home from her bi-weekly stint at the cat shelter, but today there's not a cloud in the sky. I won't sit in a boat in the bright sun. I'll probably work on putting a side window back in the hot rod, maybe look for a car show this weekend.

Canvas top is a must, here in Arkansas. I make it a point to get on the water early and back by 10 AM the latest.

You could almost hang meat at 55 degrees. My non climatically controlled ICF garage doesn't get much lower than 55* in the winter. I keep my wine in there, that time of year, Cindy puts her potted outdoor plants to weather the cold months.

Forecast for 99 today, dropping to 82 tomorrow. Then in the 90's for the rest of the week. The small town of Lytton has been 90% destroyed by a fire purported to have been caused by a train. Smoke all around here yesterday and today. Prayers for those poor people are in order!

Rain most of the day. Getting very heavy thunder showers for the last 40 minutes or so. Saw one lightning bolt probably no more than 200 yards north of the house. Heard the sizzle/crackle and immediately the thunder.

We have been in the mid 90's for about 4 days straight Strong storm around us but not here until last night! Humidity has been so high I try to hide in my basement by day ( no air conditioning ) 2 Dehumidifiers down there and Humidity is 50 % at 55 deg! Nice!
Still humid today with off and on rain all day but temps in the low 70's so you can feel a change coming. Cooler tomorrow and Saturday with rain on and off....Guess the heat wave is gone!

Heading back to normal summer temperatures; suppose to top out at 99 today and then just be 99-102 for the next week. Not looking for anymore of the 115-118 stuff!

What a beautiful day here today. Clear as a bell until about 3 pm and building clouds out of the NW. A gentle breeze out of the NW take lowers the humidity. We took advantage and mowed everything, yard, ranges, and the trail around the prairie. If the cloud cover sticks around we may fish tomorrow. I need 10 to 12 bluegills for a friend's wife. She prefers her fish scaled and gutted, not filleted. I'd much rather filet fish but I'll gladly prep some gills special for her.

Brief showers on and off, in the AM. Accumulation was 2/10 inch. Very dark to the north with feint rumbles of thunder. No lightning but my back porch faces south. Missouri/Arkansas state line gets a lot of weather, that I don't.

2" this morning, radar shows more coming from the north. BIL in nashville showed pic of new neighbor's pig in the back yard. Planning for thanksgiving dinner?

I guess I didn’t realize Wa. Got that hot!
Like L Ross, it was a nice day here and the wife and I spent the day mowing. Suppose to make 90’s this weekend and the skeeters will have fun with the weekenders. I get to work all Weekend.

There are two Washington States, divided by a mountain range. The West side is all within 50-100 miles of the Pacific Ocean, Mild temperatures and 250 days of rain. The East side of the mountains his high desert and steppe with 300 days of sunshine and four distinct seasons. It is the very northern tip of the Great Basin weather area that runs down to Sonora, Mexico.

Nice day here, 91* at noon and headed to 97* for a high. Cloudless for now, still some humidity keeping fire hazards somewhat at bay.

You got that right! We had a pretty decent light show. We logged .78 inch of rainfall yesterday.
