What is your weather today?

We're in a brief cool down. Yesterday and today, highs only in the mid 80's. Back to the 90's, rest of the week.

We've been above 95', except for one day at 93', since the 17th of June. Over 100' every day since the 26th of June, and the forecast is for at least another 7-10 days of the same.
I've lived here (in Boise/Meridian) since I was 12 years old, and have never seen these temperatures sustained, for this long or this early.
Our AC quit (after 28 years) on the 3rd of June, and we finally got it back on June 28th. Had to replace the whole system, but glad to have it under 90' in the house again!!

Wow 28 years on the AC? Think I would be buying another one of that brand. Mine started acting up last year at 15 years old, saw the writing on the wall and rather than keep repairing it I just replaced the whole HVAC.

Not real bad right now, 91* and we still have some clouds and humidity--31%, high for here. Not a bad thing at all, fire-prevention-wise.

Death Valley got to 130* yesterday, and I am happy to report that we took no part in that particular celebration. 120* is not remarkable in that Foretaste Of Perdition that Marie is so fond of.

Too hot for here and fire restrictions on in most of the upper half of Mn. from what I'm hearing. Haven't mowed my field yet this year, and normally mowed it three times by now. Weather guy said smoke here from Canadian fires, but I've not noticed it yet.

Been about 80 all day. Rained till noon, partly cloudy with a bit of sun. Says the rain will start back up about midnight. I can feel it cooling off and smell the rain coming in now.

right near 90 here, but thankfully the nights are still in the mid-upper 50's.
if the drunken monkey's would leave the damn door shut I wouldn't have to hang out in the shop all day where it doesn't even get close to 70 until just before the Sun goes down.
it humidied up today and almost acted like it was gonna rain for a bit, then the sun broke through the clouds and haze and called the whole thing off.

That has been the pattern here for the past week or so--clouds boil up starting about 10:30 A.M., build into gray-black ugly anvils, then usually wither about 4:30 P.M. There was some sign of recent-past raindrops on the dirt road edges around the River and near Clark's Ranch. Berries and prickly pear are running about a month late this year. No bears or droppings of same, either. Just as well, the 22 Hornet behind the seat would not have left much of an impression on them if push came to shove. It DID make a lasting impression upon a ground squirrel that wouldn't shut up, chirping atop a rock like an idiot about 100 yards off. That Barnes 30 grain Condor Cuddler cartwheeled him nicely, departing at 3200 FPS.

Sure wish you guys could share! :sigh: Since April 1st 0.26". Extreme fire emergency, so no shooting on state or federal lands (about 75% of the state.)

Rain, and more rain.....followed by rain....then the sewers backed up and well, there is an awful lot of new lakefront property around. It might be temporary, but still lakes and rivers abound in the "Water Wonderland".

All of you getting that rain might try sharing a bit with us dessicated Westerners. TIA!

No real complaints, the last week or so has been mid-90s highs and enough humidity to mitigate fire danger a bit. We only ran the AC for about 2 hours at mid-day, and at 6 P.M. it was freezing me out in heavy Carhartt T-shirt and blue jeans. Outside temp was 82, so I opened things up and shut off the AC before hypothermia's onset. 2 years in Seattle turned our girl Melissa into an Ice Goddess, and her ideas on HVAC settings require revision. Like her Mom, she is utterly ungovernable.

High 70's to mid 80's, mostly sunny. Yesterday was the first day that daylight has dropped below 20 hours.

Fire exploded in the neighborhood where my niece lives just north of U of A. Got close to five acres and fire services was on it with water helicopters and planes. Helicopters mostly because they could reload less then a mile away. The video shows almost a line up of helicopters dropping water. Smoke Jumpers landing at the Muskox Farm nere by. Under control in hours.
