What is your weather today?

Smokeywolf--yup, that's "Stockholm Syndrome".

Off and on rain here since Tuesday, and unseasonably cool. I spoke with an old partner that lives in the local mountains (Idyllwild) and he got 10" of snow as of Friday and was expecting 5"-7" more through today. I am certain that the start of Daylight Saving Time today will spell the end of winter forthwith--that's why we have it, right? More sunshine later in the day makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE.
See, those AJ and Criminology classes still paying off.

Welcome Matt from Colorado.

I thought so.
Spent two years stationed at Elmendorf.
As soon as I saw "State Bird" I knew you had to be in Alaska.
The skeeters do get a might thick don't they?

Coldest weather I've ever been in was at Eielson AFB on a TDY.
4 of us out on the flight line changing an engine on a C130-E Herky Bird, circa 1979.
It was -55 and dead calm.
Two things I remember the most from that night.
1) The incredible way sound carries at those temperatures.
2) That night we got to see the most incredible display of the Aurora Borealis I have ever seen.

Sure do miss that place.
Driving up with the wife and spending a month is on my short bucket list.

Hello, Calvin. How's Hobbes?
Hobbes, as usual, is doing marvelous and having a grand ole time.

Ended up getting 2 feet of wet snow.
I bet there is 6 inches of water in it, maybe more.
Gonna be a might damp around here for a couple of days.

There is white sky feces falling heavily right now, 32 degrees. Bah, I was done with that. The bright side is every Cardinal for a mile around is back under the Maple in the sunflower seed. Pretty in the snow.

Just letting a belly full of black sucker casserole, (substituted for tuna), settle a few minutes then I'll size and check the remainder of the 13 lbs. of 312-155-2R's I cast the other day. This last dab, maybe 80 bullets, will get Hornady checks so I can do an apples to apples comparison between home made aluminum and factory copper checks. All from the same alloy batch, all the same components. I'll start them at 100 and go out from there, when the weather is more congenial.

Was 51* for overnight low. Got 2.7" from the weekend rain. Not the almost 4" that was predicted. Sun came out, midmorning, so I did some smelting. Sixty at noon, when I finished. On its way to low 70's. Weeds to spray, this afternoon.

I'm loving the 8" of wet heavy snow we got yesterday afternoon. Almost enough to get my "one wheel wonder" Chevy stuck :p during my trip to post office to ship some brass and bullets.

I hate to post this, as I know it vexes Lamar - but we were in the mid 60's yesterday and supposed to hit 70 on Thursday!

Buuuutttt... I've lived in Idaho long enough to know that this is just an aberration, and we'll soon be returning to winter's cold grasp!!

gloomy rainy-smiley-emoticon.gifWoke up to a light show at 5 AM. Bella the Boxer is laying at my feet. Strong storms predicted for most of the day. Tornados are not out of the question.

Today is supposed to reach 40's but was 24/25 this am before sun up.

They are also now calling for 3-8" for Friday here. :headbang: :headbang: :embarrassed:

Rain has subsided. The intense weather: thunderstorms, hail, heavy rain, possible tornadoes, etc. that were supposed to start around 3PM are now nowhere to be found in the weather report. Not at all unhappy about that.

for me, upgrade this to bourbon and bacon and eggs and waiting on the NEXT BIG tornado! Maybe this will be it. Last REAL big one here was 2011. I worked clean-up for that one for an extended 6 weeks. I HOPE we don't see that devastation tomo morning at daylight!

PS: Ben - haven't seen your AO listed in the danger zone - least not yet. Stay safe!
