The prevailing Northwest on-shore wind turns a sunny Spring afternoon into a chilly one.

A little over an inch of rain starting yesterday about 11 am. 52 degrees and misting a bit yet. Washed the damned salt and mag chloride off the roads. Now if we can just not get another snow fall. I want to start trolling for walleyes Monday, and I want salt free roads to tow my boat.

69* right now, clear with 20-25 MPH NNE winds. I am being assigned to a family food run as I type this. Such grinding oppression.

Thunderstorms last night for a couple of hours. Fairly steady drizzle since. Mid 50s now.
Since moving here, I regard any weather short of a tornado as wonderful and beautiful. Am happy and grateful to be here in snow or pouring rain, than in SoCal in sunshine. Step out my door and just about all I see are my own trees and rocks, instead of my neighbor's windows and rooftops.

That's true. in SoCal you can look out your window and see what your neighbor is having for breakfast. :sigh:

Weather here is delightful compared to Alabama. 40F and rain. Stay safe down south. Tornado's scare the hell out of me.

Got 6" of snow from Tuesday to last night. Looks like a couple of day break with just being cloudy, then 4 more days of snow hopefully nothing more then snow showers each day.

I hate to say anything about local conditions, given the reports above. Absolute bluebird weather here, forecast high of 76* and sunny today, 84* tomorrow.

Marie posted some photos of yesterday's desert jaunt east of Indio and south of I-10 on Book Of Faces (Marie Paine). We did about 40 miles of dirt-roading, and I am sorry to say the desert wildflowers have been a no-show this Spring. It wasn't a good rain year locally. We did get into Painted Canyon for the first time since Oct. 2018. The pics posted by Marie are of that hoodoo world.

It's noon, sunny and 72 with a sometimes ever so slight breeze and not a cloud to be seen. A nicer day than we get in Summer. If it doesn't get any hotter it'll be the epitome of the perfect day.

Worked up a sweat getting the deck back into some sort of almost-post Operation Fence Replacement.

Currently, 77 degrees and partly cloudy. Almost time (3 PM) for cocktails on the veranda. Rick was over this AM showing off his new trailer and brought the pressure washer over to clean up my algae covered sidewalk. Been having issues with the well pump and it decided to quit when we started. Blown fuse.............second one in less than 24 hours. Called the pump guy and he came over to check it out. Electrically, everything checks out. :sigh: Replaced a control box because it was less expensive to go that route than pull the pump from the 400+ foot well. Which would be the next step, if this doesn't cure the problem. :headscratch:Thinking that one of the wires at the well pump could be frayed/worn from ten years of starting and stopping and rubbing on the well casing.

BTW, he's not the original installer. I fired that guy, nine years ago.
