Made it up to 82* yesterday with light winds. Not today. Was 51* at 5 AM, same as yesterday. Todays high is only suppose to be 62* and sunny. But we have brisk north winds for today.

Here in the northern desert sun rise at 6:03 with a temperature of 37 degrees and 71% humidity. Sunny today with a few thin clouds drifting over from the coast. High predicted 76 degrees and 21% humidity, with sun set at 7:58. Nice spring day with 14 hours of sun. Last average day of frost, so time to get tomatoes in the ground.

Just to the west over the Cascades, cloudy, 45 degrees, chance of rain with little wind. Going to help a friend inventory powder, primers and cases for the coming year of matches. Shortages bring discretionary planning.

15 to 20 mph winds out of the north, 41 degrees right now. Was supposed to be 64 and sunny today. They missed again. A friend came over to shoot, when he was half way here the wind came up. We wisely did not waste the components.

Instead we visited, ate knockwurst, fresh kraut, mashed potatoes, and rhubarb custard pie for dessert.

Oh goody gum drops, (in lieu of the appropriate profanity), 40 to 50 mph wind gusts out of the south which will turn the Mississippi into a sea of white caps. Then the front passes and the wind switches to NW tomorrow at 35 mph.

Snow today, throu Thursday. Then a nice break Friday for just a cloudy day. More snow predicted for Saturday and Sunday. This is starting to get old.
At least we very rarely get winds of more then 5 to 10 miles per hour.

In the high '60s-low '70s today. Not too windy to barbecue, but definitely too gusty to burn brush or trash. Of course some idiot did just that and filled our little valley with smoke. Volunteer fire was out and investigated. We were breathing smoke half the day.

Prescribed burns are going on, in Baxter county. Army Corps is in charge of them, mostly around Lake Norfork. I had smoke all afternoon. I drove into town, six miles away, smoke was still apparent. I'm south of town, whereas Smokey is way further north. Prevailing winds were out of the south, yesterday.

Yesterday it was mid 70s and very windy (red flag warnings).
Today predicted high temp is 41 and still real windy.

This morning the Media Weather dude gave today's weather, and then said "Welcome to Minnesota"
I laughed and laughed...
because yesterday, the George Floyd trial started in Minneapolis, so there are Journalists (I hate to give them that title) that came here from all over the World, and they were welcomed to Minnesota's crazy Spring weather.
