If you find that you are really missing the snow and cold, there is Flagstaff.

Well when you hang your hat in this country, and keep in mind the town of North Pole is 20 miles south of where I live, I’ve seen enough winter. I’ve seen -82 below zero still air, no wind chill, and you drive, walk on hard pack snow and ice for 6 to 7 months,I think my fond memories will sustain me.
I don’t snow machine, ski, or make snow angels anymore, I just shovel the stuff.
And if it snows where I’m at in Arizona, unless the wind is blowing hard, you will find me with coffee in my lawn chair enjoying the desert winter landscape.
I find winters in the lower 48 are only tough in windy areas and just south of the 49th latitude, of course up around the lakes which combines wind, moisture and cold. And of course in the Rocky’s can get pretty miserable. But the duration is short to far shorter, by comparison.
