As a matter of curiosity I searched for the difference between a lake and a pond the defining difference is that a lake has a photosomething layer where the transmission of light stops and a pond does not ......... So Walker Lake with a depth of only 250 ft remaining has been a lake since 10,000 BC or so and Lake Tahoe has only been a lake for about 25-30 years before that since the water cleared up from the earthquake that left a standing forest to petrify on the bottom it was just a pond .
We peaked about 74°F today , clear skies , dry , expecting 36-38° overnight .
