Norfork Lake level is controlled by the Army Corps of Engineers. It has over 550 miles of shoreline and is over 160 foot deep. After the recent storms, the lake level rose two feet and will continue to rise from the subsequent runoff. The normal pool is 550 feet. Flood pool is 578 feet. Almost every year, after the spring rains, were approaching flood stage.................that's about a 26' rise in lake level. It will stay that way till late Fall. That's the reason, only floating docks are allowed by permits.
